I am a student and will be learning and practicing in three different studios. Our instructor told us to specifically list each individual studio in our policy. Looking online it says coverage is for anywhere in the US, yet there's an additional cost option to list locations. I called to clarify and don't feel like I got a satisfactory answer. I ended up buying the extra because I want to make sure I'm covered, but I'm not convinced that I wasn't swindled out of an additional $30. I'm frustrated, but I just needed to get this taken care of in a timely manner.

Yes, our coverage follows you, the policyholder, anywhere you practice in the US at no additional cost. It sounds like you added Additional Insureds to your policy. An Additional Insured coverage need is typically required by landlords, event owners, or other entities that you work for. By adding them as an Additional Insured to your policy, you are extending your coverage to this entity should a lawsuit arise that also includes them. It is not to be confused with a policy on its own for them, but rather an extension of your coverage to them. The insurance might be good or may not be, I am not sure. I have ended up with some but only because I had a forced deadline to prove I had some. It was very difficult to get information about student versus professional membership, whether membership was actually worth it, if you started with student and wanted to upgrade if they compensated you for that. (for example). Not to mention the different insurance coverage levels and how to select the right one. I feel like I have been had but I needed it so I got some.

The site would not accept my saved password or any saved information to log into. My payment was taken, but I could not get a verification. I ended up spending way too much time trying to verify my purchase so I could print a receipt, which I still don't have, except for my bank verification. I used all the information that was stored by the company site, but was not allowed to see the results of my purchase. :(

The online process was simple and easy, the problem was getting to correct language my contract required for an additional insured entity onto the insurance certificate. The person (Rita) that assisted me was unable and unwilling to write the language I needed even though I wrote it for her. She instead referred me to customer service. Customer service (Richard) was great and provided me with the language on the certificate I needed. However, I checked my member portal today and the Certificate in the Portal is the same WRONG language that Rita first loaded. I need my Portal doc to be corrected and represent the correct language that I submitted to my employer. Just emailed Richard today. He has been very receptive and helpful, hopefully he can get the member portal docs to read the same as what emailed to me.

For the past 2 years, I have been a student…learning to be a Pilates teacher. Covid has stretched my year long program into 3 years. After year 1, I was told I could no longer receive the student price. I called and appealed to the company due to the fact everything had shut down the month after my first weekend training. There were no exceptions. When I renewed this year, I renewed a week before my expiration date. I renewed…..responding to the renewal notice. To my chagrin, my new policy begins the date I renewed and not the date my old policy expires. I am still not working and getting paid, but I am practice teaching so I need insurance.
