Fine in the beginning and I have done all our paperwork. Now it has been weeks and weeks "to review with the CPAs". No answers, no returned calls. On occasion there is an email "we'll look into it" but that is it. I keep reaching out but not getting any reply. I am wondering if this is a scam at this point. Not good customer service once thy have your documents.
UPDATE: After writing this review, I got a call from a Team Leader the next morning. They were able to look into my case, made a call to the CPA team and got a contract sent out within a couple hours. They also followed up later in the day if there were any questions. All of this occurred in a 24 hour span of time. I give them credit, they jumped right on it once they took my situation seriously and the customer service/check-ins have been great. I started this review at 1 star. I have moved it to 3 stars because I give weight to a company fixing a problem. I understand that everything is not always going to be 100% perfect. It is the reaction to those not-so-perfect situations that really show what the integrity of a company is.

Legitimate but some logistical challenges
I originally submitted a very poor review (see below) of my experience. I have modified my review based on conversations I had with the company's sales director and one of the senior team of the company. While my initial experience was not great, I am hopeful this was a one-off experience and that the company has the tools in place to correct the concerns that I experienced. I upgraded my review from a 1 star to a 3 star, and it appears the company is actually able to tell you where you are in the queue (my rep was unable to provide this at the time). I believe the company is legitimate providing acceptable services even though I made a decision to move in a different direction. My original review:
I would be wary of this company. I think they are a heavy marketing operation that used radio advertising to create a huge demand for the service. They have a bank of telemarketers that do the follow-up and try to get all of your information properly entered onto their portal. This part appeared to go pretty well, as they aggressively worked with me to get all of my information into the portal or if I sent a file to them, they would enter that file into the portal for me. Unfortunately, the telemarketers are churning out the customers, but it appears they are understaffed to actually do the technical review work. So then things just die. I completed my paperwork and sent in the requested files on August 8, 2022. Suposedly it gets sent to a tax attorney/CPA who reviews the documents, but I am still waiting 6 weeks later. What is worse - I cannot get a straight answer as to where my application is in the process. All answers from the telemarketing team are very vague, even though it will be the telemarketer that will get you to sign the agreement (to pay them their fee). For example, if indeed it is a first-come-first-serve process, where am I in the process? Has the CPA started to review my files, yet? How many companies are in front of me? The response - "our system doesn't work that way. I can't bother them as that would slow the process down. They're not going to give me that information" So I ask the question, Is there anyone who submitted their work by July 1, 2022 who has not made it through the review yet? The response - "our system doesn't work that way. It depends on the company and the information." She avoided answering the question - very slick. But it gets better! I ask the question, Has any company you have worked with that submitted their paperwork on July 1, received their approval to be sent to the IRS for the refund? The answer? Another non-answer! Remember, the telemarketers receive the final documents about how big the refund will be, so they can get you to sign the agreement to pay them their commission. They would know the customer they brought into the program and are trying to complete the sales process. So I asked several times if anyone who submitted completed paperwork by July 1 has gotten their paperwork back. Her response was vague - "I don't look at when we brought them into the program. I am working with hundreds of companies and I don't keep up with when they started. Possibly there are companies that have had their paperwork submitted."
Wait a minute - you solicited the companies, pushed to make sure they got you the information quickly and you cannot remember if a single one of your customers who submitted their paperwork by July 1 has had their paperwork completed to be sent to the IRS? The best I was able to get from her was, "It is likely someone has completed the process." But she doesn't know for sure if any of her clients have - another answer that is a non-answer. Unfortunately, even though they will sometimes respond to emails, and will answer the phone, the customer service is lacking once you get into the top of the funnel. You'll just have to wait and hope they will eventually get around to you before the program ends.
