Inner Balance is a women-first telehealth practice built on a simple belief: women deserve to be believed, and to get real answers about their own bodies. We were founded in 2023 by Dr. Sarah Daccarett, MD. She is a board-certified physician licensed in all 50 states, and her practice focuses on women's hormonal health and longevity medicine. We offer prescription treatments across four areas of women's health: hormone enrichment with Oestra®, desire and sexual wellness with Libida®, hormone-informed prescription skincare with BodyMatched®, and cellular longevity support with NAD+. Care starts with a two-minute symptom quiz. A licensed clinician reviews your intake, and if a treatment is appropriate for you, it ships to your door — no office visit, no insurance required. What to expect: free shipping, HSA/FSA eligibility, unlimited clinical follow-up, and the ability to cancel anytime. Our treatments are compounded by an accredited U.S. 503A pharmacy that is NABP, LegitScript, and PCAB certified, third-party tested for potency and purity, and delivered through a HIPAA-compliant care model.

This company is awful. I merely inquired about a product, and the next thing I knew, I’d been signed up for a subscription. I had another subscription that I was actually using, but I guess they felt that because I already had one, it was okay to sign me up for another. Now I’ve been trying to cancel everything, and it’s been incredibly frustrating! I hate this company! Going back to Skin Medica!

Product is as Poor as the Service
Subscription fees of $199 per month...x 4
Libida $247 and got charged for it twice, because I did not realize that too was subscription. It DOES NOT WORK. Don't waste your time or money. They will happily give you every reason in the world that they will not refund your money for products that are ineffective and over priced.

No way to pause or cancel your subscription, and customer service is unresponsive. Will have to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Very concerning experience
Very concerning experience. When I developed symptoms from their compounded prescription product, medical consultation was tied to maintaining a paid membership. Their explanations repeatedly changed throughout our documented correspondence. In my experience, the focus was more on securing continued payments than on patient safety and appropriate medical support.

NIGHTMARE WEBSITE!!!!
I signed up for this and they charged me twice and I can't even create an account nor do I have any confirmation email from them with the charges of $200 a month for Oestra cream but it's on my credit card statement. I'll be calling my credit card company as soon as the charges process and are not pending. No option whatsoever to contact them just a stupid AI chat box that says a human will contact you in 2 business days. NOPE!! Crickets!! Also, this is a subscription so they keep charging you. When I contact my credit card company I'm going to tell them to block them so they won't have access to my credit card anymore. They say they won't ship you the product until your identity is verified, but you can't even verify it!! The page just closes but they charge you anyway!! SUPER SCAM!!

Expensive. Doesn’t work. No way to cancel.
The pills I received do absolutely nothing and there is no apparent way to cancel the subscription.

This company is fraudulent
This company is fraudulent - there is no customer support. No phone number, no email, and multiple attempts to cancel my subscription have been ignored by the only contact option - a "chat" that goes no where and is read by no one.

Told to give it six months, then denied a refund days after the deadline
A company that advertises being trusted by 60,000 women and having a 4.9-star rating should welcome honest customer feedback. In my experience, finding a place to leave that feedback has been remarkably difficult. That alone raises concerns.
I used Oestra for almost eight months. Within two weeks of starting it, I began retaining enough water that I bought my first pair of SPANX. I also started gaining weight. During a telehealth appointment, I was told this was normal, that it was water weight, and that I should give it three months.
Then came heavy periods every two weeks. Again, I was told this was normal. To their credit, the bleeding eventually mostly settled down. But I also experienced breast pain and changes, persistent water retention, and severe bloating. At times, I looked six months pregnant. Even my child commented that I looked like I had a baby in my belly.
This was a significant change for me. I have always been a size 00 and had never experienced this kind of water retention or rapid weight gain, including during multiple pregnancies.
Across multiple telehealth appointments, the advice was essentially the same: take more supplements and give it more time. First three months, then six months. I took every supplement they recommended.
Their staff repeatedly suggested my thyroid was the problem. I had extensive bloodwork done, and my doctor told me my thyroid, glucose, and insulin results were optimal and that my metabolic health was excellent. I also consulted a gastroenterologist and a nutritionist to investigate other possible causes.
I bought an Oura ring to track my sleep. I paid close attention to nutrition, protein intake, and strength training. I was doing everything I could to understand and address the changes, yet the symptoms persisted. Oestra was the only new addition, but that possibility never seemed to receive serious consideration.
The turning point came when I accidentally left it behind during a long weekend. After three days without it, my bloating noticeably decreased. When I brought this up at another telehealth appointment, I was advised to double my dose.
At that point, I felt unheard. I needed someone to reassess whether this treatment was appropriate for me. Instead, I was being encouraged to take more of it.
I requested a refund under their six-month satisfaction guarantee literally days after the six-month mark. My request was denied with no exceptions. What frustrated me most was that I had continued treatment at their own staff’s repeated insistence that I give it six months for my hormones to “level out.” I followed their advice, then was told I had missed the deadline.
After my refund request was denied, I continued using Oestra for approximately another month, but reduced my dose to half a pump. At that lower dose, I began to feel better. That experience, along with the improvement I noticed during three days without it, left me frustrated that my concerns about the treatment itself had not been taken more seriously.
I also tried sharing my experience in the Reddit community, but moderators deleted my comments. To my knowledge, my comments were factual accounts of my experience and did not violate the community rules. Having that feedback removed only added to the feeling that negative experiences were unwelcome.
I understand that Oestra may work well for some women. It did not work well for me. My concern is how the company responded when I repeatedly reported problems: more supplements, more time, and eventually a higher dose, without what felt like a meaningful reassessment.
In my experience, Inner Balance’s reassuring marketing did not match the support I received when treatment went wrong. I felt dismissed, and I regret continuing for as long as I did instead of trusting what I was noticing in my own body.
Women seeking help deserve to have their symptoms taken seriously, their treatment reconsidered when necessary, and their honest feedback heard.
If sharing my experience helps even one woman recognize that she does not have to keep pushing through a treatment that is making her feel worse, this review was worth writing.
