Never got an email from saying the software was ready to download. When I tried to log in to the company page to do it, it took me through the MS store. My computer has a glitch and the MS store doesn't update, so the software won't download. No way of downloading directly.... So... I have never used the software and never will. Added Feb 4 another round. Indigo keeps changing their rebuttal, which is why I keep dating my changes. They say their product is real! Is it? Who knows. My contention is that it's not available to me. They say that they "experienced a temporary rollout and distribution transition." Translation: The software was unavailable when I ordered it from their webpage that said nothing about it being unavailable. They say it's been resolved for the "vast majority of users." This reviewer is not in the vast majority. They say "That situation was temporary--not permanent". I don't know whether the situation is permanent or temporary, which is why I keep saying "not available to me." They say "support is never tied to reviews". That may be true, but it is a very odd business model. Any person of business can make a mistake. If they make efforts correct the mistake, that should appear in the review. In this case they have asked me to change my review, but have provided no software or service. They say "We do not benefit from witholding access". I agree! It can result in a one star review! They say their team can provide "alternative guidance" for folks who cannot use the MS store. Never offered that to me. No reference to that on their website. Added Feb 4, For clarity and transparency: Indigo has sent me a lot of email, and texts, but no link to the software. On their website there are links to go through the Apple store, the Google Play store and the Windows Store. No other links. For Windows they also give you a "download" link, which also goes through the MS store. TrustPilot offers the option of editing responses. If Indigo had provided a link that would allow me to download and install the software you would not be reading this now. If there were such a link at IndigoPDF you would not be reading this. I read their most recent rebuttal to my review. They conclude that IndigoPDF is not vaporware. So I looked up the Webster's definition: "a computer-related product that has been widely advertised but has not and may never become available." Looks like the definition fits to me. They say "We do not ask customers to change reviews in place of providing access or support". In my case this is true. They asked me to change the review but did not provide access or support. That's actually the reason I haven't changed the review. They also say that they sent me several emails saying that the software was delayed 2-3 weeks. It seems a little odd that they'd be advertising software that is not currently available. Nevertheless, I can't deny that they told me that after I put in my order. I can only point out that I made the order on December 23 and it is now February 4. We passed the 3 week mark some time ago. Still, the only thing I have gotten from them is the distinct impression that they don't like my review. Added Feb 3, 2026: Just to clarify why I have not changed my review. At no time have I been given a link nor any information about how to download a copy of the software that does not need to go through the MS Store. There have been several exchanges between myself and Indigo, but no such link has been proffered. A lot more than 2-3 weeks has gone by. No such link has ever been sent to me. The site asked me for a TON of information before providing the software. Then in the end, it did not provide the software--neither immediately nor after "2-3 weeks." The company response says that they provided link to a version of the software that does not need to go through the MS Store. I have lots of email and text messages from them, none of which has provided a link. Instead, almost all of their correspondence asks me to change my review "up to 5 stars." I indicated that if they cannot send me software that I can put on my machine, to at least get rid of my personal information. They told me they had deleted my account...nevertheless, Trustpilot sent me 4 messages today saying they had attached a response. Their response is misleading. I agree that a "temporary availability issue" should not result in a 1 star review. That is not the reason for the 1 star review. The reason is that I have NEVER received a copy of the software that I could install, but Indigo has sent several messages about how that is (a) not their fault, and (b) how they'd be happy to "resend" or help, but never actually do that. As to the software being free...potential users should be aware that they will be giving Indigo a lot of information about themselves and may receive only "vaporware".

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience. We take feedback seriously and want to provide some additional context for anyone reading this review. First, Indigo PDF is a completely free utility that we make available to the public as a courtesy. There was never any purchase required or payment involved for this software. At the time this request was made, Indigo PDF was undergoing a temporary distribution update as part of a rollout transition. During that period, some early requests experienced delays while the new release was finalized. Users requesting the software during this window were notified that access could take approximately 2–3 weeks while the update was completed. Since then, the rollout has been finalized and the software is now available to the vast majority of customers without issue. Throughout this process our team attempted multiple times to provide assistance via email and text, including offering troubleshooting guidance and alternative help for systems where the Microsoft Store may not be functioning correctly. Because the Windows version of Indigo PDF uses the Microsoft Store distribution framework (a standard Windows deployment method), installation can sometimes be affected if a device’s Microsoft Store service is disabled or experiencing update errors. We also honored the request to remove the account and associated personal information from our system. For transparency to readers: • Indigo PDF is a free optional utility • A temporary rollout delay affected a limited number of early requests • The update has since been completed • Our support team made multiple attempts to assist Indigo Software has served 100,000+ customers worldwide since 2016, and providing helpful tools and responsive support remains our priority. If assistance is still needed accessing the current release, our support team would be happy to help. Most customers receive access within minutes, and our team is available 7 days a week if anyone ever needs assistance. — Indigo Software Support Team
