If you're looking for a refresher course or to get a broad overview of all things related to producing in the box this masterclass is a good option. I'd have given 5 stars but I was looking to learn for example how and why to use settings on generic or stock plugins to solve problems as opposed to specific plugins I'll most likely never own. I did learn things and since my enrollment Hyperbits has added more courses which I'm excited to take.

Thanks for the honest review KD! Fair point on the stock plugins. The goal is always for the "why" behind each move to carry over to whatever’s already in your DAW, and if you ever want help translating something to stock plugins, just ask in a live session or the Discord, and we’ll walk you through it.
Stoked you’re excited for the new courses, hope you love them!

Don't hesitate, and take the plunge!
If you're at all interested in taking your music production to the next level, and acquiring the knowledge of pro producers, and developing a workflow that allows you to create a polished and radio/stream ready track, this is worthwhile. The price tag might have been a deterrent, and it was much less back when I first enrolled, but the personal response from Hyperbits himself, and looking at all the amazing things I would learn in the curriculum, I knew I had to enrol and I even opted for the coaching tier and got 5 informative and invaluable 1-hour sessions helping me with a few tracks I produced.
I worked with Pete and he was very positive and there was no better feeling as he listened to a track which I revised based on his feedback, just to share how much it improved and how great it sounded. I did get away from it for a bit as life got in the way, but looking forward to diving back in and seeing all the updated videos. And I know they have been updated because they know what's up, and that they have to keep up with the latest tech and techniques.
I had only been learning music production for 3-4 months through courses by Andrew Huang, Blanks, and Charlie Puth, so still quite wet behind the ears, and some of the material was advanced, but I understood it, and it got me excited to know I have the tools and process in my back pocket for every track I write and produce. - Shaxland

Thank you for this, Adam! Super cool to hear how the Coaching sessions with Pete landed.
Wild you were only 3-4 months in when you joined. Shows you don’t need to be advanced to keep up, just willing to put in the work. Good stuff.
Welcome back whenever you’re ready (lots of new stuff waiting in there). Stoked to hear what you make next!

Thorough, well-supported course with a great community, though a bit pricey
I came to the Hyperbits Masterclass with a degree in classical music and switched to music production after graduating. I expected to skip most of the theory module, but I'm glad I didn't. I still learned new things there. The course material is very thorough and covers the full production process, so you come away with a well-rounded education.
The founder is a big part of what makes this program work. He knows his subject deeply, he's quick to respond and easy to reach, and he really listens to student feedback. He takes the time to understand what you're trying to say and is very accommodating.
The community has been one of my favorite parts. It's a great place to get advice, it helps to keep me accountable, and I've gotten to know a lot of other producers. I've met some super cool people through it! And there are different of opportunities for feedback via live bi-weekly feedback meetings, weekly group lessons, and the Feedback Friday submission area.
I like the assignments at the end of each module because they get you feedback on your own work. They are paired with various action items for private practice to work on the material directly, but my one wish is the action items is for more of them. The modules run 5-6+ hours each, and right now the 4–5 action items all come at the end. I would like to see at least one or two short action items after each chapter so there's more hands-on practice along the way rather than just at the end of the module.
Unfortunately, I didn't give 5 stars because of the price. There's a lot of material and bonuses, and you get lifetime access, but I've know of several other courses with similar bonuses and materials (including EDM Tips and EDMProd) with more regular 1:1 lessons that cost less than this one. I really wish I could give this course a 5, but when compared to programs of similar level material-level and more 1:1 access, it is important to note that this course is considerably more expensive than others if you want the same 1:1-type treatment. I completely understand having a small staff with many more producers than staff would necessitate the only having one 1:1 session for the first of two tiers, but personally, I would lower the price of the first tier to offset the slightly less personalized curriculum. I would maybe even lower the price of the full version as well, because that is nearly double the cost of some of the other courses out there with similar 1:1 accountability, material, community, and bonuses.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Hyperbits Masterclass to any producer who wants structured, in-depth training and a supportive community IF you have the budget for it.

Thank you for taking the time to write something this thoughtful, Taylor. Super cool you got so much value out of the theory section despite coming in with a classical degree!
Hear you on price. One thing worth knowing for anyone comparing: it's a one-time payment, and the mentorship is for life (no subscriptions). And if the budget isn't there yet, our shorter courses are a great place to start.
Really glad the community has been a highlight for you. Thanks again for the honesty.

Great information and a great…
Great information and a great community. My main focus is not even EDM and I still found a ton of useful info.

Highly recommended
Initially I did the Hyperbits bootcamp, which I really enjoyed and, at the time, thought was very thorough. However, having now also done the Masterclass, the bootcamp shows just a fraction of what you'll learn in the Masterclass. If you're looking to get into the world of music production, I highly recommend the Masterclass. I'd still also recommend the bootcamp, if you're simply wanting to improve your music, but maybe only ever want it to be a hobby.

This is such a helpful comparison for anyone trying to decide between the two. Thanks Anthony! Stoked you did both.

Masterclass a Golden ticket …
Masterclass is not a silver bullet but a Golden Ticket. I rushed my way through the 8 weeks and thought something will happen and it did not. Joining the Discord later and then building tracks with the skills learnt, help me unwrap the full meaning of the course and I was happy I stock to it and now producing songs limke a PRO.
Response from HyperbitsSep 30, 2026
Thanks, Alfred! Love that you decided to double down, get in the Discord, and keep building/creating. Glad glad you stuck with it!
