HyGuru USMLE PrepReviews of hyguru.com

Some call their superheroes spiderman or batman, I call mine Rahul. I met him a couple of months ago on YouTube as I was studying for my respiratory final. He pulled together the pathology, the physiology, and the pharmacology for every disease in a way that no other resource does. Yet, what impressed me most about this guy, is his unrelenting desire to provide the best for each one of us-- his students. I've read everything from Deep Work to Make it Stick, but Rahul takes those concepts and created systems that made sense for MY life. He's saved me so much time and has added substantial value to my life. Thank you, Rahul!

Rahul is super passionate about teaching. I found him when I was prepping for step 1 and he continually helped me with step 2 CK and shelf exams. I've been a nervous test taker for my whole life and my hardwork rarely reflect on tests. Rahul not only helped me to approach a standardized test in a systemic approach, he also taught me how to think on my feet during M3 clerkships. In addition, he has the BEST ATTITUDE - hands down a great mentor for med students! Thank you thank you!

This is an amazing program. Dr. Rahul is so passionate about helping medical students not only pass Step 1 but also live their dreams. He has a gift. He is able to take complicated and dense material and present it in a simple and cohesive manner that is EXTREMELY helpful when studying all the various topics required for Step 1. I would recommend his course to anyone. His content-based Step 1 course and the associated Test Taking Strategies course are MUST HAVES. Please don’t let yourself down and pass up on these one-of-a-kind step 1 resources. Glad I found him when I did.

I wanted to wait and post this until my Step 1 results arrived. I PASSED! I am a non-traditional, borderline passing student that has struggled with foundations and everything in between. I studied for step for a total of 9 weeks. Around week 5 I was STILL not making progress and got desperate. I remember watching a couple of free HYguru youtube videos that were so helpful so I took a chance and bought the step1 course. I AM SO THANKFUL I DID! I worked through the modules as advised, did every assigned uworld question and within one week I noticed a bump in my uworld averages. About 2 weeks into it the program I took an NBME. I started at around 40% correct and ended at around 64%. This was HUGE for me. More than anything he made learning fun, easy to digest, and he was excited and passionate about teaching. Between gaining a stronger foundation and new found confidence - I don't know which one was more beneficial in getting me across the finish line but I owe much of my success and getting the pass to this program. If you're struggling with foundations, the tough stuff, or just a couple weak spots - this is the boost you're looking for. THANK YOU!!!

Dr. Damania's passion for teaching is obvious and his videos are even more helpful because of that. He focuses on you understanding the concepts rather than just straight up memorizing the material and keeps you actively engaged as he goes through. His active recall approach really works well for me and the fact that he has UWorld question numbers associated with his videos makes it even more helpful! I stumbled upon his youtube channel a few weeks ago and finally decided it was worth paying for the pass/fail program. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! Not only have my scores boosted tremendously, my confidence has as well (which alone I think increased my scores a few points). I cannot recommend this program enough! For how much money we put into Step1 exams, study material, and med school in general, I truly believe this was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Thank you Dr. Damania, I wish all teachers were as passionate and concise as you!

HyGuru Pass/Fail course is the BEST resource to help you with your step 1 preparation. I love the question approach to learning concepts, it really helps me to consolidate all the information I need to know for step 1. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants an interactive way to review all the high-yield concepts.

The absolute best out there right now for USMLE PREP

Dr. Damania saved my life during Step 1 dedicated. I jumped 20 points easy within a week of watching his HY review videos. He walks you through each question and focuses on what you should be thinking about in each vignette. It made attacking MCQs so much easier. Looking forward to Step 2 CK content!
