I'm a HUGE fan of the HU Intown camping, Rome
I discovered the HU Intown Rome property over the pandemic 6 years ago and became a huge fan. I stay here every time i go to Rome. I love everything about it; the cabins are amazing and being able to sleep in the middle of nature whilst still being within easy reach of central Rome is a real treat. Its smells wonderful with jasmine on some cabins and the pine trees. There is a pool and it feels like a little resort. The food, especially the pasta and pizza at the restaurant are really unexpectedly a superb quality, great quality ingredients and reasonable for such quality (that was a recent discovery - (The Carbonara is really authentic as good as anything you'd find in more expensive restaurants ). Great bustling breakfast restaurant too in the morning with croissants, coffee, juices and sandwiches as well as the well stocked mini supermarket on site. They also have an "Info point desk", like a concierge desk which is staffed by the super friendly Stefania, who always has a broad smile on her face and gave us some great advice about things too see and do during our stay, she also sold us tickets for the shuttle bus the HU put on in both directions to take you from there to the center which is really worth taking. She also explained how the schedule worked and nothing was too much trouble. In fact we took her advice a few times during our stay and she sold us a great day trip which we won't forget. Overall, don't hesitate to stay at the HU, they have other properties in Italy (I've personally stayed at 3) and they all have their own charm and a really quality outfits. Trust me, HU Intown is really clean, has free parking, great food, a pool and a great atmosphere yet is peaceful at night; what else can you want for a few days coming back to a calm island of tranquility after a hard day of sightseeing!
