They bought out TCF bank then started closing branches. I have called the one branch because I need a certified check, but there's no answer, and I call online number and only get automation. Went to my local bank and only drive thru was open there's 6 cars in each lane.

Hi if you’re a professional business like person I suggest you do not do business with this bank institution. This bank do not protect your privacy and they’re not honest from the top on down. Please take your business and money somewhere else! If you do decide to do business with Huntington bank anyway you can’t say you wasn’t WARN! Good luck Ms Trina

We were with TCF for 25+ years when Huntington bought them out. Since then Huntington has held every one of my payroll deposits for 7+ days each. My payroll has been going into this bank for years and since Huntington took over they are holding all of the funds.

I was with TCF for years, and despite TCF having been a source of jokes and complaints themselves, they look like saints compared to Huntington who ate/took over/merged with. With TCF, if your bank card was damaged you could get a new one on the spot - the printers and computers were in the branches to manufacture and configure it. Hunmtington removed that equipment so now you have to wait 10 business days plus they MAIL it! You could wait a month and they give you a temporary ATM card to TCF former customers (that only works in their ATMs!) on the spot. It's not a bad IT guy - it's POLICY from the top! The cards are manufactured at one facility located god knows where. Given others have had other banks eaten by this predator, you might want to bank with one that Huntington CAN'T so easily eat. If it's too big to fail, it's probably too big to eat. Just be careful if you choose this strategy to avoid having Huntington eat your next bank. Huntington is so backwards thinking that waiting a month for a bank card is acceptable. And what DID they do with those bank card manufacturing printers anyways?

Can I give this a negative star? It’s a shame I never got the chance to actually enjoy this banks features. I tried to sign up online 4 times. Each time I could not get past Huntington’s text verification. Each time I verified my information was correct, including my phone number. When I get to the text verification screen the last 2 digits of my phone number were reversed so it was impossible to get a text to move on. I contacted Sasha through the chat feature and she sent a link to “fix” the issue and it just took me back to the initial apply screen. I went through text chat again, got Sasha again and she sent me the same link, again! I decided to go through the website to try to sign up and after I verify my info again I hit continue and now they are saying I need to come into a branch to sign up for an account. Unreal!

2 weeks in from Huntington taking over TCF bank and Huntington's Business help line tells you to call back later because they are too busy. I have been forced to deal with Huntington twice before (they keep buying out banks) and have left twice. I was hoping the third time was going to be the charm.
