I love my local guys, and don't mean harm towards them. But I've been treated like a thief over $129 credit card dispute. A foreign guy who barely speaks English and supposedly fixed my phone (trying HARD to have me pay CASH), ended up being a total hack, and I had to pay even more money with a reputable company to fix the part that this complete hackjob BROKE. So here I am out $55 extra dollars thinking that my bank would trust me through both calls, in person visits, and email. NOPE. They only continue my total grief of being ripped off... And I've always recommended Huntington to many other people in the past. I've been with them for decades. This is my FIRST dispute. Incredibly low of them...those people making "the rules." How much time, money, and energy this has cost to me, as well as THEIR paid workers. Huntington could care less. On a FIRST time dispute. Again, over $129 bucks!!!

Have a loan for an RV I purchased. It was totaled through no fault of my own. The insurance paid a payment to Huntington for almost the amount of the loan and another payment was made from the extended warranty that I purchased. Both payments were made before the grace period of my next payment. There is still a small balance for the GAP to pay. I checked on the loan and it showed a late fee charge. They did not care that they received money all that they care about is if it comes from me. Now I have a late payment charge on top of all of the money that I have already lost due to this accident. They will not even work with me until the GAP pays the remaining balance. The "customer service" lady was extremely rude and when I asked if there was anything they could do, she just said no. No compassion at all! This bank is horrible. Even when we were making payments on time, the reminder that we received always seem like an attempt to collect a debt.

My grandmas husband took a loan out on their house and shortly passed afterwards. My grandma attempted to make the payment TONS of times but the bank refused her money and now she's lost her home of over 25+ years thanks to this bank.

Worst bank ever I have banked with multiple banks in my life and never had any negative issue. Banked with Huntington had fraud they didn’t give me the money back on top of that they closed my bank account to. I recommend everyone to please don’t bank with them or avoid them

In July they did not post or pay interest on my savings I had $235000 in there and should’ve received 800-900. I’ve called 4 times and get lies and the run around. It seems to me the bank is likely failing if they can’t even manage a simple savings account I have moved 90% of that money to another bank now /. One that pays interest doesn’t just advertise falsely that they do

A business loan that was only $100,000.00 took 4 months to process, partially due to bank agent going one vacation for three weeks and letting loan sit ideal. After it finally closed, sell is waiting for funds to transfer to their account, bank agent said you just have to check you account each day to see if it arrives and couldn't notify us once submitted. Worked with a lot of business deals and banks will call or email when finds are transferred so you can check your account.

Almost criminally awful. I sent an ACH transfer of about 6K. For about a month, the receiving bank claims they can't find it. Somehow, in this confusion, every time I call Huntington they give a different federal trace ID. This is simpler than banking 101. Then, after a month, the funds are still not found, I ask them to recall the funds, thinking perhaps the receiving party was a scammer. Just ask the scammer for the funds back was the message they kept repeating -- like Mcdonald's workers have more latitude with speaking than these customer service reps. The other bank DOES send them back, no thanks to Huntington. Then, I live overseas. Huntington locks me out of my account. Completely. Why? they won't tell me the reason only that I have to come in person to re-open my online account. Luckily that was the one month out of about 15 months that I was going back. Otherwise, sorry, I cannot access my money without taking a week off work for travel and a 2K ticket. THEN, I try to send some of my salary from overseas home. THREE #$%$$ more weeks, and they are holding my salary / sometimes don't see any wire transfer at all depending on the day I call them. I spent at LEAST 50 hours on the phone with these geniuses over three months and as of yet not a single transaction -- Zelle, ACH transfer, Wire transfer -- could not be sent. I mean, I cannot imagine what the world would be like if everyone was this bad at their business.

Do not open account if you do not live close to one of their bank branch. My account got locked when I tried to transfer money for the first time after opening account and customer care asked me to come to the nearest branch for verification to unlock the account. The problem was nearest branch was 500 miles as I live in PA and they have no branch in PA. After multiple phone calls and escalations, I still did not get access to my account. Fortunately I had linked another bank account with this Huntington a/c so I was able to ask that bank to withdraw all the money from this Huntington a/c to bring the balance to 0. Then I called customer service to close the account. All this while I was not able to access the a/c online or through the mobile app. So strongly advice to stay away if you are not close to their branch.
