HPP CaresHPP CARES CDE is a California nonprofit HUD Approved consumer credit, debt, and housing counseling agency. Our organization understands the challenges the average consumer faces when it comes to being overextended with financial constraints such as debt. Knowing this, we are committed to educating consumers with an emphasis on financial literacy. Our certified HUD Approved housing counselors provide personal assistance through budget counseling, housing counseling, and debt management strategies to lower interest rates and monthly payments. We can address the issues at hand by improving access to credit for low-to-moderate income and historically underserved communities (BIPOC) households through qualified programs that identify and support them. These include but are not limited to affordable housing, homeownership, small business technical assistance, financial literacy, and economic development, ultimately establishing the framework needed for sustaining communities, neighborhoods, and households. It is unfortunate that in 2022 essential skills regarding the management of household finances are lacking in K-12 education. A lack of financial literacy leads many consumers to learn these lessons the hard way, putting them in difficult positions that can be tough to recover from. To further address existing issues, our agency implements the latest multilingual technology bridging the divide to ensure consumers from any background have access to the resources and knowledge they need to make sound decisions and better their financial situations.

We had the great pleasure of working with Genesis through our ADU journey. She was communicative, responsive and friendly throughout. Building an ADU can be very daunting, but my work with Genesis was definitely the smooth part of the process and we’re grateful for the wonderful experience. My sincere thanks to you, Genesis!

Once we landed with Genesis things went well. Genesis was quick to respond either via email or phone. If an issue needed to be escalated she did not hesitate to escalate to get our issues addressed. This ADU was our first construction project as well as our first grant. Be patient as there is a learning curve. HPP Cares took good care of us. Thank you HPP Cares, we appreciate all you did for our project. We are done and it looks fantastic.

I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the exceptional assistance I received from your team in resolving a mortgage problem I recently faced. A special thank you goes to Gabriela Sandoval, and her manager whose dedication and expertise were instrumental in finding a solution. Gabriela and her manager was not only highly professional but also incredibly empathetic and patient throughout the process. Her commitment to ensuring my concerns helped me take the step I needed to resolved my problem.

HPP Care team, I started my JADU project in 2022 and received a grant from the state through HPP Care. I had no idea how to allocate funds and move forward with the construction simultaneously. It was so stressful not knowing what's next. Everything was my first step, like everyone else. HPP Care team (Karen, Diane) seamlessly navigated me through my journey so I could focus on the actual construction part. Diane was dedicated, always responded quickly, and answered my questions; her work ethic was amazing! I am thankful that HPP Care is there to help move forward every step of the way.

My experience with HPP cares was very informative and helpful. I know that without Emily and her expertise I would not have know what to do. She was very patient and knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and concerns.
