I host a single property and decided to try Houfy.com as a way for returning guests to book directly with lower fees and without a lot of additional setup on my end. I recently received my first booking request through Houfy and was hoping the experience would be similar to the other platforms where I list my property—just without the fees. So far, it has been exactly that. I received the booking request as expected, and the guest was able to complete the deposit payment directly through the Houfy website. The deposit showed up in my Stripe account just as expected. It appears that I will need to send the payment link for the remaining balance closer to the check-in date, although there is also an option to enable automated payments, which I may use in the future. The reservation details are easy to view, and the pricing breakdown is clear and straightforward. Overall, I’m glad I started using Houfy and think it’s a great option for hosting returning guests who want to book directly.
