When I made my reservations, I thought I was dealing with the hotel directly. I had no idea that it was through your organization and that it would cost me $12.00 . Never again.

Wanted to ask contact customer service using the number provided at the top of the confirmation screen...had to be transferred several times to a different agent. Hard to speak to anyone from "Hotel Reservations".

I made a reservation at the Belmont Holiday Inn Express as we have been very pleased with that motel. The reservation was made on July 24.The dates of our stay were August 9 & 10. We were told that we would have a room with a king bed. When the confirmation returned, I saw that we had been given a room with either a double or single bed. When I called with this problem, I was put on hold for a very long time. I became angry and decided to cancel the reservation. When I tried to cancel, a supervisor named Cindy told me that was not possible because the last day to cancel was July 23 (or 24 in the early morning). It is quite outrageous that the last day to cancel a reservation is before the reservation was made. After another wait, she confirmed that the person making my reservation assured me that cancelation could be made a few days before the date of the reservation. So my reservation was canceled but Cindy first said that a refund could not be made until after the days of our booking to be sure that we really did not show up. I was even more unhappy about that. Cindy did make arrangements to refund our charge which will be in a number of working days. I appreciated her patience with my anger. And she did a good job of making things right. However, I will not be using your services in the future due to the mistake in the type of room booked and, especially, a cancellation date which precedes the date the reservation is made.

I did a search to stay at a particular Hyatt hotel with check-in on June 28th. Your site indicated 5 or 6 different types of rooms were available. When I selected one and went to checkout, it stated the reservation could not be cancelled or refunded.. The reservation details were not given on the checkout page, so I went back to the search page and checked the dates. They were as requested and the payment. The confirmation popped up and indicated check-in was that same night, June 22nd. An email follow up said the same. Called the customer service number at the top of the page, they said it was not their booking. Same for the service number at the bottom. Tried the 3rd service number with the same result. Tried to cancel the reservation and got a 4th number, it seemed promising but then the agent's terminal crashed and contact was lost. A couple of calls to Hyatt generated some additional leads. Eventually, they led to Expedia and then to a central billing site and finally to Hotels.com. Their agent indicated that she cancelled the reservation and would send a refund confirmation. Chasing leads from one affiliate company to another took over 4 hours. Still waiting on the confirmation. Just call be Totally Dissatisfied

kept closing when I was trying to print reservation

I booked a hotel through hotel reservations.com. They immediately charged my card $555, although my trip was six weeks in the future. I noticed the price included $100 in fees. I went directly to the hotel and booked the same room for $100 less. Hotelreservations.com said they would process a refund within 24 hours, but I'm still waiting. I prefer better treatment, such as not charging my card until I arrive at the hotel. By going directly through the hotel, I can cancel up until 6:00 pm on my arrival date. And, the hotel will not charge my card prior to my arrival.

Poor follow through and/or communication.
