Ordering was easy. The shipment arrived quickly and in secure packaging, but.... The snipe hinges are not good quality. 1) They were overly hammered and too thin and bent rather than penetrating the cherry wood of my project. This resulted in very visible damage to the top of a project that I worked on for months. 2) The black patina shattered/flaked off with the first blow of my hammer when trying to install them. There is little black patina left after a few strikes. Raw gray iron is all that is left. This is not the first time I have installed snipe hinges. I know how to do it. I would not recommend these hinges.

They are a better firm than I remember - the website is perfect, the products are great, and the service and delivery are perfect. I wonder why I have not used them more in the past?
