Customer service is lacking I feel like you are rolling out so many features your response time is lacking or isn't escalated. Not everything can be achieved via chat and there is something to be said with a personal human connection. I think you have some great features, some that are irrelevant, but it also doesn't justify the SIGNIFICANT price increase

Not intuitive at all, makes you work extra to send an consecutive invoice or even have to create one from scratch due to having additional files attached. Very OVERPRICED for what it offers.

This review is a bit late as it happened in 2022, but I feel it's necessary to warn those out there. I genuinely loved everything about the interface with Honeybook, especially for a small business. My issue arises with their claims department. I had a client that went through a medical issue and decided the easiest way to get money was to file a claim on a job that had already been approved via email, final payment made and was currently using site live on their URL for several months at the time of this claim. I went back an forth witht the agent with all my screen shots, saved emails where client approved job, paid for job and then showed the agent (in live time) the LIVE website up and working several months after contract ended. Contract even stated, absolutely no refunds under any circumstances that client agreed to. Literally an open and shut case for me. I crossed my T's and dotted my I's and made sure I had all the evidence anyone would ever want. Long story short they ruled in clients favor, took money out of my business account and client continued to use website I apparently built for free. Be very careful as Honeybook will NOT go to bat for you, the small business and it could potentially be devastating to a small business. I was so angry at the lack of protection they offered especially since I had everything in black and white and all the proof you could ever want and the fact they just withdrew the money out of my account that I immediately terminated my service and went to quickbooks. Be careful and be warned, even if you have a rock solid contract, Honeybook may very well back the client and not you.

I don't think the platform is intuitive

From Free to $700+/year :( I really enjoyed Honeybook. I never quite fully understood how to use all of the features but for my needs, I booked clients and guests with it and figured out my own management system for different projects. The meeting summary ai was pretty cool! I liked sending the invoices and recurring payments - but I can do that with Quickbooks, which I already pay for. And I can do everything else with GoHighLevel, which includes way more business features for only $40/ more a month. A lot of tech companies are making the same mistake I feel Honeybook made with me: raising prices on current customers who aren't even fully using the features they are already paying for. Which then makes us more open for alternatives that are a better fit for a comparable amount of money. If I hadn't experienced the "your price is going up" email, I wouldn't have even started looking for alternatives and then I found something that was actually more functional for my overall business. I'm paying for one more month past my canceled annual subscription to get my data moved but I will take my three or so workflows and features and move them to a more robust platform. I'll miss the Honeybook I used to love and pay less for!

It’s a great service but the cost is way too expensive. I could go to pixieset, have a website, host my photos and have a crm for the same price as just the crm with honeybook. This will be my last season with them. Once I move all my contracts and contacts over I’ll leave.

This is a decent software, but I am disappointed in some of the capabilities that should be included with the Starter Membership. As a small business, I don't need all the bells and whistles that the other memberships offer, but customizing templates should be a basic option included in a membership. Deeply disappointed by its restrictions. Will probably cancel.
