They don’t actually price match, just say they do…
I won’t be going back to Homemakers after buying most of my previous furniture there (spending several thousands on multiple pieces). They state that they price match online if you meet the criteria of multiple things such as authorized dealer, shipping available to your location, legitimate price, delivery times, & delivery prices. The dresser I found was $200 less than their price and met all of the criteria, but they informed me, they would not be able to price match it due to the other site not offering expedited shipping and that they were not a brick and mortar store but just a warehouse. No where on their site does it state that it has to be a brick and mortar store only that it has to be an authorized dealer. Also Homemakers does not offer expedited shipping to my home, both the site and them have 4+ weeks for me to receive so shipping time is the same, and the other site shipping is $99 vs $199 Homemakers shipping. Every time I stated that they do ship to me they kept circling back stating the other site states they don’t ship to my area, even though everywhere on the site states they do. They just kept making excuses to not price match that were not stipulated on their website. Talked to a friend and she had a very similar experience and was told by an associate well then why don’t you just go get your item from the other store then. Ultimately I wouldn’t care if they stated they didn’t price match, but the fact that they have a page on their site that says they do and give a criteria list of things you have to meet and then deny on multiple occasions for reason that aren’t listed is what has made me decide they are dishonest and I won’t be shopping there any longer. So buyer beware if you try to price match, they don’t really…
