At first glance, Historical Emporium seems like a dream come true for victorian clothing enthusiasts. However after the initial glee of browsing through their decent selection of reproduction clothing, one my come to realize that Historical Emporium largely is just a resale mark up of Wah maker and frontier classic brands. While that is understandable, and forgivable. What I can not stand is the complete lack of stock in normal or smaller sizes. Nearly every item in their Catalog is out of stock in any size below obese. And this happens fairly quickly as well. You would think that they would order larger batches of the smaller sizes that sell out. Long story short, I do not see myself giving any more business to The over priced Historical Emporium even if they had something in my size.

I ask for why they dont ship to Spain (when they are shipping to the other european countries )and i discovered that they think that all of us are buglars and cheaters. Awfull and insulting by the way

c'est ma deuxième commande passée aux Etats Unis auprès de Historical Emporium. Historical est une entreprise basée à San José près de San Francisco. J'ai commandé plus de 20 articles car j'adore les fringues atypiques . entreprise extrêmement sérieuse, livraison rapide(arrive via la poste en Colissimo)ATTENTION ! toutefois au frais de douane/TVA Françaises ,exemple : première commande 950 euros de vêtement>300 euros de douane / deuxième commande 280 euros de vêtement> 70 euros de douane. Pour le reste impeccable, effet garantie dans la rue, je peux vous l'assurer et le p'tit plus c'est que même si quelqu'un craque sur un de ces vêtements ,il le trouvera pas en Europe, du coup vous serez unique. ATTENTION tous les produits sont pas made in USA, certains viennent du Guatemala ou de Chine ,mais vous inquiétez pas les produits sont bien fait. Pour les tailles ,voici mon conseil, je mesure 1,84m /90 kg /largeur d'épaule à épaule 49,5 cm/ longueur manche du poignet à l'os de l'épaule 66 cm. En France je mets du L en veste/blouson/chemise/Pull soit du 44 américain, les vestes de historical Emporium en 44 me vont comme un gant et déchirent graves .pour les gilets ,prenez une taille en dessous de la votre sinon vous allez devoir retoucher le gilet au niveau de la taille. j'espère que mes conseils vous seront utiles amis Français, bonne chance à tous et surtout n'hésitez pas, si vous voulez en mettre plein la vue ,c'est chez Historical qu'il faut commander

I ordered two top hats, both the same size. One was too small. Very disappointed to learn that I would need to spend $54 to ship back the hat. Deceptive return policy, and poor size descriptions. While I like the clothing, I will not shop with this vendor again due to their return policy.

I have ordered several items from Historical Emporium, and never been disappointed. Everything I’ve ordered has been of high quality, durable, fits well, comfortable. Excellent customer service and quick delivery (I live fewer than 100 miles from their location). I frequently get compliments on their products. Historical Emporium clothing is one of the mainstays of my wardrobe.

Great selection of Wild West, steampunk and Victorian clothing. I ordered one of their steampunk getups for Halloween and loved my outfit.
