HiCounselorReviews of hicounselor.com

What I loved best was the huge number of interview calls I started to receive, thanks to the dedicated networking being done on my behalf by HiCounselor. Thank you HiCounselor for helping me land the job of my dreams at the company I had always wanted to work for.

My experience with HiCounselor surpassed my expectations. They provided awesome coaches who had been in the industry for years and brought their real life experiences and anecdotes to share, and helped immenesely with things like resume reviews and interview prep!

My experience with HiCounceler was life saving and it worked for me. To the best of my recollection, if nothing has changed in their program, you will have around three weeks of preparation which includes reviewing interview questions, interview preparation, mock interviews, resume review and automated networking system which really helped improve my interview skill and my résumé that landed me a job in data science field. The most important part of their program is where you will be registered in their automated system which will send canned emails to companies which have job openings of your choice. Although you can do that by yourself, the problem is you have to at least have their work emails and you have to follow up with them manually for friendly reminders which is highly time consuming and exhausting. But their system does that automatically in a higher rate which makes your job search very very easy. So in my case, their system sent 25 emails a day which is a lot if you want to do it yourself. Because at the end of the day, you have to increase your chances and this is a number game. For example I myself applied for 300 jobs during Covid and I had the slightest chance to get an interview but with their system my chance got dramatically improved.  To sum it up, It is up to you if you want to take your chances and go with their system and I highly recommend it but one thing you have to bear in your mind is that you have to have a strong fundamental and technical skill, their program doesn’t actually revolutionize your strength and skill in data science. You have to do it on your own. My issue with job searching at that time was that I had a very unlucky situation that I couldn’t get interviews specially during Covid time. After their system started automatically sending emails on my behalf, I was able to get informational interviews in few days and I got my technical interviews in the second week.

I graduated mid of pandemic and it was really difficult connecting with recruiters and finding the right job. That is where HiCounselor came for my rescue. HiCounselor made the job search quite hassle-free with their automated networking system. Apart from that they provided live classes with best mentors in industry which not only covered technical but behavioral section as well. Over all it was great experience which helped me to get my job quickly.

It was so tiresome and equally demotivating to spend time and effort applying for multiple job roles only to end up being rejected. On the other hand, HiCounselor made the job search quite hassle-free with their automated netowrking. I could easily focus on the learning process without worrying about sending a dozen job applications and networking.

I entered into HiCounselor expecting them to help me find a job. All I got was one online DSA course, then a whole lot of nagging me to do extra work documenting my job search for them. They had me make a new email account, and then indiscriminately spam people in hopes that someone would feel like being a sport and talking to me. Utterly worthless, and they still insisted on their pound of flesh once I got a job, with zero involvement on their part. I only paid because I doubted I’d win in arbitration, so that added up to a $4,800 mistake.

I would say HiCounselor is a complete package. They prep you right from getting ready for interviews and applying for various job roles to networking on your behalf and suggesting diverse companies that would otherwise be overlooked. I strongly recommend HiCounselor to anyone struggling to find the right job. They will make the job search process much easier!

When I joined HiCounselor, my biggest challenge was to get frequent interviews and some prior experience in core technical rounds. In my experience, HiCounselor worked perfectly for me in both those areas. I was able to get around 4-5 interviews every week, after 3 weeks of joining them. The mock technical and behavioral interviews were very helpful as well and gave a great understanding of what to expect in a real interview. Last but surely not the least, the HiCounselor team were very professional and easy to work with. I would recommend them if you are having a hard time getting interviews and/or you are unable to go through the final technical rounds. Best, Yash
