Beware of HiCounselor! Ther are nothing but a money extortion machine. They misuse the clause using which even if they do nothing to help you secure a job, they will still claim a percentage of your salary if you get hired. If you refuse to payespecially after landing the job on your own—they may threaten legal action against you. This is a deceptive practice, so stay away!

I really wish, I can give minus star for torching me. I have moved India this year in September, but HiCounselor is keep emailing me and asking IRS transcript or tax proof which I don’t have, I can't get it from India. So I am not able to provide a verification proof of unemployment. Now, HiCounselor is threatening me that they will send me a legal notice!

These guys are a scam. Stay away.
These guys are a scam. My niece signed up for this. They did not provide any program whatsoever. However, they are demanding a cut of her pay. Planning to report these guys as fraud to the Federal Trade Commission.

Hicounselor's Career Accelerator: A Sham and a Scam
Hicounselor's career accelerator program is an utter sham, a complete waste of time and resources. Their auto job application tool is beyond atrocious, achieving nothing but frustration and disappointment for users. Despite their promises, they utterly fail to place individuals in reputable companies, leaving applicants stranded and disillusioned.
Even if you manage to secure a job through your own efforts, they shamelessly demand a portion of your hard-earned salary, despite contributing absolutely nothing to your success. This blatant exploitation is nothing short of predatory.
Furthermore, the CEO of the company epitomizes egotism and incompetence. Their lack of leadership and vision has led to the complete failure of the company's purported mission. Hicounselor is nothing more than a facade of false promises and self-serving agendas.

Not good for placements/Job opportunity
I signed up with HiCounselor with the hope of finding job opportunities, but it's been three months, and I haven't received a single interview not even one through their platform. I haven't received any meaningful leads. The only calls I've received have been from consultancies asking for upfront fees in the name of deposit and trainings. HiCounselor's auto job application tool applies to multiple roles, but the majority of them are consultancy roles more than 90% I regret my decision to join HiCounselor, and I would never recommend anyone to join especially for job opportunities or interviews.

Hi, we're sorry to hear that your experience with HiCounselor fell short of your expectations. HiCounselor is committed to help every candidate enrolled in our program land their dream job. You mention being in the program for only 3 months. That is usually right around the time most of our candidates start getting results.
In your case, depending on your strategy and use of resources it may be too early.
I'd recommend you connect immediately with your CSM to guide you and help you adjust your strategy.

I have been with them for half a year and no resutls!
I have been with them for more than six months, and I saw no results whatsoever! The training is "Eh!". Nothing you can't learn freely on YouTube and Google! The technical prep classes are very mediocre. For someone of my strength in coding, the gain was practically zero. The automatic job application is useless. During this time, I have received 10X more interviews out of the jobs I applied for personally, than I received from their job application and email networking tools. Also, after the training is over (4 weeks), you are TOTALLY on your own. They never got in touch with me to ask for any updates or offer me some guidance. I understand that these are some incredibly hard times for the tech industry, but still, I receive 4-5 interviews a month by myself and receive 0 from all their applications. They apply to more than 100 jobs a week for me and send dozens of networking emails, out of which 98% are just garbage and absolutely irrelevant. It is totally inefficient. That is why I get much more interviews myself while applying to ~30-40 jobs a week! Also, if you are hoping that they have some connections in top companies and that they can magically get you interviews (or even job offers), I should tell you that this cannot be further from the truth. All these are coming from a person with a strong academic background (research papers, internship with a top company with over $20 billion in revenue) and only no real work experience (prior to joining them, I received two interviews from the top 10 tech companies!). And lastly, this is not just me. I am in touch with most of my peers who started HiCounselor with me, and no one has landed a job yet. My advice is to stay away from these seemingly easy shortcuts! I still get frustrated when I think that when I finally land a job on my own, I have to pay them thousands of dollars for doing virtually nothing for me.

Hi, we're sorry to hear that your experience with HiCounselor fell short of your expectations. HiCounselor is committed to help every candidate enrolled in our program land their dream job. I wish I knew your name so I could look at your experience and provide a more personalized response.
The auto job application and email networking while they are not perfect tool, they usually lead to some good results after some fine tuning which could take
some time. That could be what was missing in your case and in such cases, we recommend candidates to connect with their CSMs to provide feedback so that we can
make those adjustments . The CSM is your candidate success manager and main point of contact while you're in the program. It should have been assigned to you on your first day but it looks that didn't happen in your case. We apologize about that.
I'm glad to hear that you landed a job and I'd be happy to connect with you to hear more about your experience so we can improve.

0 stars if I could
0 stars if I could. My experience with HiCounselor was just horrible. First, they request you to create 5 new email accounts because their auto application system send multiple emails to HR people, but what I had was 99.9% of failure of delivery. I became so busy to check those "not delivered" emails every day. Also your email accounts got locked out so many times due to suspicious activity, and I was also busy to un-lock my multiple email accounts. As you know, most of jobs are on Linkedin nowadays, but they don't even use it. I already have doubt if email is really effective way, so I wanted to apply through Linkedin on my end, but I don't even have time to do so because of those junk emails and problems. Not only their auto-application does not work, the instructors are not helpful. You will be allowed request meeting with instructors if you have questions, but instructor will response you back almost every 3 weeks. They are too busy to reply you as they are also working as full time.
Because I realized their service don't work after 4 weeks of training period, I really wanted to withdraw their service but I was stuck with their agreement. Now I found my dream job with other recruiter’s help, and they send me bill to pay their “service fee”.
Do not even consider HiCounselor if you are struggle finding a job. Because they will just give you a more struggle.

I entered into HiCounselor expecting…
I entered into HiCounselor expecting them to help me find a job. All I got was one online DSA course, then a whole lot of nagging me to do extra work documenting my job search for them. They had me make a new email account, and then indiscriminately spam people in hopes that someone would feel like being a sport and talking to me. Utterly worthless, and they still insisted on their pound of flesh once I got a job, with zero involvement on their part. I only paid because I doubted I’d win in arbitration, so that added up to a $4,800 mistake.
