Hertz Marrakech Menara Airport
The process of renting a car in a different country is always stressful. We were initially worried after reading about other people's bad experiences. However, it turned out to be very pleasant for us, and we didn't encounter any of the common issues that people complained about in their reviews. The paperwork was in French, but the staff treated us in English and explained everything clearly. During the check-in, the staff marked all the car defects and there were no issues during the check-out. My deposit was refunded to my credit card a couple of days after returning the car. My advice is to be thorough and read about other people's experiences to know what to expect and how to manage the situation. It's worth paying a bit more for peace of mind and getting full-cover insurance. In the worst-case scenario, you'd only lose £300 instead of £800. It's important to note that the paperwork does require you to return the car clean (despite some people claiming otherwise). Check the small print at the back of the contract. The staff also pointed this out. You can go to a gas station and pay for a car wash, which costs 30Dh, less than £7. Ultimately, it's a matter of how much risk you're willing to take for the sake of saving a bit of money.
