Hero ForgeReviews of heroforge.com

Hero Forge minis were kind of a pipe dream for many of us. Especially as we are an international group. We took advantage of the black friday sale and splurged. Everything was made on the mobile page. Apparently, the slider that says "unprintable" appears under your thumb when you slide a choice into the red zone. So hidden. If you dont catch it in the small preview when you put it in to your cart, your screwed as they will automatically "thicken" for durability. After several emails, the only advice their customer service has given is, in short, "dont like it, return it". Question, is, if an item is deemed unprintable why are you allowed to purchase it without a flag or warning? Im in 3 long running campaigns. Participate and run 1 or 2 one-shots weekly. Everyone is disheartened and wont buy from Hero Forge in the future.

The miniatures look really good on the computer but their printing is poor. I would not recommend using this company. Bought two files to print for myself and neither printed out well at all. One was basically just the base but no character. Their site does state no returns on the digital files, that is fine. However, when they failed to print, I asked to apply a refund cost for digital file and apply that directly to a Hero Forge printed character they refused. I will not use Hero Forge again.

Went to cancel my subscription on the renewal date and they renewed it and charged me for another year. I contacted them and they said that if i wanted to cancel they would give me a gift card instead of returning my money. They said the TOS said I was too late but after reading it I found the only time frame limit was for orders not subs. The only good thing is they didnt take to long to email me back,

2 for physical products: - there are no stls to download after the print — what a shame. it's literally costs them 0 (ZERO) to give it away. - priming is awful. All the details for one of my models was half overfilled with the gray primer. it's simply destroyed. I'm so disappointed and dissatisfied with that. - service seems odd — no feedback, no status update of the order. I had to write to the support to get know what is happening. - really long wait time for 3 figures (1.5 months to the Europe from the order till delivery). - still I like theirs website to build figures. If you have a brilliant local 3D printer guy — go for it! *ordered one prime and 2 normal resin figures — not worth it for that cost.

The website is fun to use and shipping was pretty reasonable. I bought a custom colored mini. For the $60... its quality is more like $30... It was not worth it. The mini itself is washed out, and looks like its covered in a layer of dust. The face looks like a blob and 0 of the nice characteristics you get on the website. With colors as dull as they are they start bleeding into each other and looks like a mess. I was so excited to finally get a custom mini and I feel let down. I'd give it more stars if the price matched the quality.

Some lovely people decided to give me a gift card to Hero Forge. Unfortunately, I find the visual style of their products awkward and have no interest in their products. Apparently none of my otherwise nerdy friends have any interest in their stuff either. So I figured they might be kind enough to refund an unclaimed gift card. Instead they hold tight to pointless rules and have taken the money hostage, wasting the kindness of my friends, and taking money for literally nothing. Such an unkind and selfish company with no empathy or common sense. Edit: After complaining and escalating they made a "special exception" to refund.

I ordered a custom brass figure. The 100$ price tag is insane. Since I wanted a unique gift with engraved message, I was willing to pay that. AFTER the figure was created, I was sent renderings showing an ugly number right next to my message. And yes, when the figure arrived, there it was looking like it was part of my message. The brass figure itself looks absolutely stunning! When I complained, I received replies that ranged from 'unrelated to my complaint' to 'entirely unhelpful'. After a couple of weeks they offered a refund. The whole thing wouldn't be so bad if they had been upfront about it and there had been clear communication (e.g. during creation or ordering). They even hide the information somewhere in their FAQs as if this was something people would ask regularly.

Paid 10 dollar shipping cost from a factory in the Netherlands to an address in the Netherlands. 💀
