I'm currently using Wegovy 2.5 and it's working well. My insurance does cover it for now but I don't think they'll cover it indefinitely. How much does a comparable dose of semiglutide cost without insurance?

I went for a medication refill check up at my rheumatologist office on Monday. We obviously had to go over what medication’s I was on and which ones I stopped. I mentioned to her that I just started Semaglutide through a Mail Order company. She just about jumped out of her chair with excitement! She threw her arms up and said how happy she was for me! I didn’t expect that reaction, I didn’t know what I was expecting. She said she wishes that everyone could be on it and that it’s such a good idea. She reminded me that slow and steady wins the race and that she’s excited for my journey as well. It was great to hear that reassurance from an MD! Maybe, over time, it will become more affordable to everyone who needs it. It is a stretch for me to afford this, but the alternative is $1400 a month because my insurance doesn’t cover it. This is my first year back to work after a 10 year hiatus being a stay at home mom and this is what I get to do for myself with my check!

I was hesitant, but after reading reviews I went on their meds in mid-January. I lost 40 pounds in 16 weeks. Some nausea, mostly just digestive issues, so take your stool softeners! Easy process and affordable compared to name brands. Exceeded my goals! I had not been on these before but had done Noom, keto and heavy workout regimens which weren’t as effective. Highly recommend!
