I was charged $50 for the online notary and the link to go to the online notary was broken. had to go to Proof and pay for the notary in a separate process. I still got charged for the $50 even though the link didn’t work, and the whole process was not streamlined.

My now-wife and I used HelloPrenup to generate a draft agreement several months before our wedding date. I then brought this agreement to a lawyer to look over, and the verdict was... not good. To mention just some of her concerns: the document was redundant and sometimes contradictory in many parts, leading it to be unenforceable in whole or in part. Some statement of law was incorrect, and at times the wording appeared to give legal advice (which is not the purpose of a contract). HelloPrenup, as far as I could tell, also doesn't provide a summary of marital rights without a prenup (beyond just directing you to relevant statutes written in legalese), so you don't know what you're giving up. It introduces language (e.g. around cost-sharing) which allows for endless litigation and accountant fees in the case of a divorce. In summary, my lawyer's impression was that this has the problems you would expect of an auto-drafted legal document meant to be usable across the country: it's essentially a somewhat contradictory Frankenstein's monster of legal wording. My fiancée and I were hoping that, since we are in Massachusetts and HelloPrenup was started in Massachusetts, that we would avoid this issue... no such luck. At least one other review mentioned that it would be nice to see how HelloPrenup's documents have held up in real-world divorce cases, if any have happened. I agree, and suspect that the record would not be good. We ended up going the traditional prenup route: my fiancée got a lawyer, who drafted the prenup, then we and our lawyers negotiated its terms. It cost thousands of dollars, as prenups do. We're just more than a little miffed that we spent an extra $600 on a useless service provided by HelloPrenup.

It was a waste of $600! The Hello Prenup form was horrible and unenforceable, and we were forced to pick terms we did not want just to get both sides to match up. Then the attorneys they referred us to for making it legal wanted to charge us between $1,000 and $2,500. We ended up paying over $2,000 to have lawyer re-write the whole prenup to make it legal and delayed our wedding. We paid $600 before we knew how bad the form prenup would be.

Attorney rewrote the entire prenup, no notification when partner is done and prenup is ready for review. Let's you print when not everything had been reviewed. Misalignment of statements in prenup.
