Frustrating Experience with Account Suspension and Port-Out Failure
I was a Helium Mobile customer since July 2025 on the Zero Plan. My account was unexpectedly disabled in January 2026, even though I never fully used my monthly resources and consistently followed the rules. I completed identity verification as requested and did not engage in any excessive or abusive behavior. The account functioned normally until I was required to add payment information for taxes and fees. While attempting to comply, I tried adding multiple debit and credit cards, but all were declined. During this time, I worked with support (Ken, Sam, Patrick, Michelle) to resolve both billing and identity verification issues. Shortly after, my account was canceled and labeled as associated with fraudulent or rewards-gaming activity — a conclusion I do not understand. Support was inconsistent and fragmented. I had to go back and forth through numerous emails for identity verification, and again through many more messages just to obtain port-out information. In several instances, each new agent claimed the previous representative was no longer available, forcing me to restart the process. I contacted support within 60 day window to port my number, but responses were delayed and often contradictory. At one point, I was incorrectly told my number had already been ported. Despite repeated escalations, I never received the required port-out details, and my number was ultimately reassigned to another customer. Helium Mobile’s handling of account cancellation and number porting was disorganized, unprofessional, and confusing. This experience caused significant stress and inconvenience. I am extremely disappointed and cannot recommend their service to anyone who values keeping their phone number.
