Thanks for the 5 star review, Mateusfmello! It can be surprisingly challenging to provide support for free hosting, because a lot of free users can be extremely rude, demanding, and entitled. So thanks for noticing our volunteers are doing a good job. On the other hand, our donors and paying customers tend to be much nicer. It's the nice users who appreciate what we're doing that keeps us going. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Richard! It looks like you've had your account for over 6 years now. We really appreciate you recommending our service to others, sticking with us for so many years, and the donations you've given us. Amazing and generous donors such as yourself is what has allowed us to stay in business for over 20 years, and as long as you all continue to support us we'll continue offering free hosting for another 20 years and beyond.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Softhauz! We're really happy with how our Morty plan is working out. We originally came up with the idea for the scaling server back in 2020, and it took us 5 years to get it off the ground. We did a survey to see if there were enough people willing to pay $1 per month for hosting to make it worth the cost and the effort to develop, and the survey came back as a resounding yes. We never expected so many people would be willing to pay us to host their website since HelioHost is well known as a free hosting provider, but you and everyone else using the Morty server seem to love it so it worked out perfectly. Thanks for the 5 star review, Cassian! Our goal from day one was to provide free hosting that is actually usable without a price tag. A lot of other free hosts are basically just a scam because you can't actually host a functional website without upgrading. For instance, some free hosts only allow SSL on the paid plans, or they only allow sending emails on their paid plans, or they offer a large amount of storage space, but a really low inode limit so you can't even install Wordpress because it has too many files even though it easily fits within the storage limit. We've always said we won't pressure people to upgrade, but since it's not free to provide free hosting we do appreciate it when people donate or move to a paid plan like your Morty account. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Dennis! VPS owners like yourself are an integral part of keeping HelioHost operational. We used to only provide free hosting, and that's still our main purpose, but we got tired of telling people "no" when they asked if they could upgrade to a paid plan or if they could have SSH access etc. Providing VPS service allows our users to stick with us even if their websites and their needs exceed what the free plan can provide. Let us know if you need help with anything.
