I would give zero if i could. My subscription was renewed without any communication to say this was happening. by the time I saw the amount was deducted i was 3 days out of there 14 day refund rule, so all the responsibilty is down to you as a customer to cancel. I will never subscribe to a magazine offers again. this should be made illegal for someone to take money from your account without notice. The first customer service agent i spoke to put the phone down on me when i said i would leave a bad review on trust pilot.

DO NOT BUY ANY HEARST SUBSCRIPTION. I took out 9 subscriptions as I love reading a magazine. Part of the subscription is being invited to events. I tried to book the Prima birthday event and the link didnt work, I was a Good Housekeeping VIP member and part of that subscription includes a ticket to their event in November. The code given didnt work, I was also a member of RED and had a code for £20 tickets to a RED event, which again doesnt work. I reached out to numerous people in the Hearst management team but have been completely ignored. They happily take your money but their customer service is non- existent. Their reviews are shocking and I would advise anyone wanting to take out any subscription with HEARST to reconsider as you will not get ehat is advertised. You will Be lucky to get your magazine each month. Its an absolute con.

Very bad customer service

Bought a 6 month subscription as a gift. Had to chase them for 4 of these 6 issues after they didn't arrive, often having to send multiple emails. Sometimes the magazine was out of print when I did chase, meaning it couldn't be sent. It's a good job the magazine was being delivered to a family member at my address. If it had been someone with a different address I wouldn't necessarily have known what was happening. Such poor service.

I cancelled my subscription and was charged anyway. I had to report it to my card company. This is a bad faith business. The r@pe of the American consumer continues unabated.

This is close to being the worst set up for customer service I've come across!! I have no idea how they train their so called customer service operators but it appears to be that it's all the customers fault & nothing to do with them A terrible telephone system set up to annoy so much that you ring off & if you fo finally get through to some one you are made to feel it's an absolute chore to deal with you & that your money is grubby & beneath them!! Sadly I have 2 family members that love one of the titles & I keep having to use them Dreadful dreadful company Personally zero stars but unfortunately you have to award one

Hearst steals from people! I paid for a print Elle Decor subscritption in December 2025 but only received 1 magazine. All my emails go unanswered and the phone number is deliberately set up so you cant cant anyone on the phone. Will now dispute thhe charges with my bank and file complaints with both the BBB and Coinsumer Affiars. Warning don't do business with this company!
