Before finalizing, I was met with absolute disrespectful behavior by two staff members over the phone. No way.

Shipping my car with Hawaii Car…
Shipping my car with Hawaii Car Transport was such a relief. I had heard horror stories from friends who used other companies, so I was a bit anxious at first. However, their frequent updates and clear communication really reassured me throughout the process. Everything went smoothly, and my car arrived safely. I would definitely use Hawaii Car Transport again and recommend them to others. 😊🚗

My experience with JC was a great one when shipping my son's from San Antonio to Nashville even though he did somethings I don't think he suppose to get my business, the second leg is where the problem comes into play, JC promised as soon as he got into the office a call would be made to me that call never came!!!! I called several times trying to get an update because JC had gotten my deposit for the transport and I was told by several other people not JC that the system and I'm a small business owner so I advised him he should have talked to me himself not put me off on anyone else because I had been dealing with him only why did he not talk to me.
After a while of me of calling and tempers going back and forth they decided to put a guy named John/Johnny that made matters extremely worse because he thought it was a good idea to talk in an unprofessional manner and hang up in my face, of course that made me even more upset because i was pushing so hard because I wanted to get my son's truck back to him for birthday and that was a promise I made and JC understood that promised that he would ensure that would.
I didn't wait on JC because he was acting like I thought he was con artist because he originally told me that he was the manager of the shipping company and that wasn't the truth I got another company to get it shipped and got there a day ahead of schedule, and JC before I cancelled with them had the audacity to tell about not getting my deposit back I told him take the money and feed his family or employees with it because he was a man of his word he wouldn't played that cat and mouse game the way he did,
I'm advising that company isn't what they seem because the customer service can be terrible and no accountability for their lies when taking hard working people money after giving me a guarantee that he could meet me needs!!!!

I have dropped off my car on Jul 9th
I have dropped off my car on Jul 9th, and havent received yet. It has been passed a months. Have a very tough time to track the vehicle, no single proactive communication under delayed situation until I actively pursue for the updates desperately and its being delayed over and over again. Really frustrated.
Due to unreliable estimation and scheduling in service, I cannot trust any more what company says since it never happened as it replied and I am on the verge of cancelling my trip out of town over the past week and again this week on this waiting game. Customer’s time is not valued at all in the name of all excuses. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience.
Response from Hawaii Car TransportAug 12, 2025
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret the frustration this delay has caused. Your vehicle shipment consists of two legs, the first over the ocean from Hawaii to California, and the second on the road from California to Texas. While we understand how frustrating it has been to receive changing information, our team has been in touch with you multiple times and each time we have provided the most current updates available. Unfortunately, there are sometimes factors out of our control such as storms and rough seas which can create a safety issue for ocean crews. This and delays at the port can sometimes cause delivery estimates to shift. We do have a carrier assigned for the road transportation portion and delivery is currently estimated to be this week. We sincerely apologize for the extended wait and any inconvenience this has caused.

I would pay double not to use this company.
This is a bit of a read so I thought Id make it funny.
Im also documenting these reviews and when you flag them. I will keep posting them when you have them removed.
At the time of writing this I have written a review, but they are flagging them to get removed as I'm not a real customer...
We were given an estimated arrival date around Jul 11th and a ship out date of late June. Car made it to the port on time. Communication was good. Lana (I don't mean to misspell your name) was great. Car left late but whatever, stuff happens. Didn't even call to complain. Life happens.
After like a week and a half I get a call from Lana that my keys were locked in my car and that I had to either mail them a set of keys or somehow figure out how to get a locksmith down there. My car is equipped with an auto unlock if the keys are left in the car so this cannot happen. I called her back and guess what. Her car has the same feature so dont worry, Lana is gonna get this resolved. Fast forward like 3 days and I get a call from Lana saying "oh the locksmith said the security system aka "my keys" were modified. Plot twist, they were in fact dealership replacement keys that are direct OEM replacements that had 0 issues. Key fobs were both replaced 6 months ago when the keys were made. So now they have had my car sitting on a port waiting for a locksmith and guess who gets the bill? This guy!
So after a very fun conversation with Lana about how this is possible and that we were in sync about this, I got stuck paying a almost 200$ locksmith bill. Minor setback but she said that if I pay right now she will have it on a truck that day. We payed it on the 16th of July (the same day). Fast forward to today (Jul 24th) and guess what: I get a call from some random dude that supposedly my car is gonna get picked up on Monday but I have to pay some other "storage fee" because Lana is so good at her job, my car sat for an entire week for no reason and has accrued some bill. So I call the company up and for anyone who stuck around this long knows I get stuck with another bill for several hundred dollars. At this point just calling them costs 100$.
So areas of improvement for Hawaii Car Transport:
1) If you dont allow us to call the port ourselves, dont fold when you already know what they are claiming is not physically possible.
2) If you then fold and charge your customer because you dont wanna argue with the port dont lie and say its going on a truck that day
3) Why do you require us to put our cc info on a piece of paper and email it back to you? If you need help setting up Stripe or CC payments I am happy to help.
4) When there is a serious delay ( a week or more) please reach out with literally anything. Like what is the point in using you guys? What value have I gotten? It would have been easier to just organize shipping myself. And if I wanted it almost a week late and 350$ extra I could have just forgot about it in a port myself.
Now in their response they are going to claim that "Trustpilot reviews cannot be deleted"
A: Yes they can. A premium plan allows you access to a personal attendant who can still request info in regards to your review. If you don't provide it fast enough it is deleted.
"Your modified security system violates our ToS"
A: OEM key replacements installed by a Dealership are not modified.
" Your cars delivery date was available at the port by July 11th. We never said it would be at your new house on July 11th"
A: Yes, I agree. It is now July 29th and Im accruing fees because you left it in the port Lana.
"You were rude to us when we attempted to tell you that you now owe us 250$"
A: No I wasnt. I was just asking how you operate as a company that cant tell the port to knock the shenanigans off.
Either way, I would rather wrap my car around a tree and drop it in the ocean and hope it somehow makes it to Hawaii then let Lana mess this up ever again. Hawaii Car Transportation doesn't care.
EDIT: After the review went live, I got several emails. They offered to cover the cost of storage.
In response to your response, I will be emailing you a video of how what the port is claiming is impossible. I followed up and said that the keys do work and that the only part that I am not satisfied with is that you told me it would be handled (by Lana). When the port changed its story, you decided that "oh just bill him I guess" instead of telling the port to knock it off. I will be sending you a post action email and submitting a claim to the port anyways, but this reply doesnt even cover the issue Im covering in this review.
Edit: 7/23/2026: OEM (modified keys) still have no issue. No battery low warning. Been driving the car no issue! :D

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We understand your frustration and appreciate the time you took to share your experience. While we regret that this process has been challenging, we do want to clarify a few important points regarding your vehicle and how the situation was handled.
The port hired a trusted locksmith to assist with accessing your vehicle. According to their report, the vehicle had aftermarket key fobs. The dashboard displayed a low battery warning, and the locksmith noted that while the keys could open the trunk and start the car, they did not unlock the doors. He stated that the issue was likely due to a low battery, poor key quality, and possible programming errors. As a result, once the doors were closed, they automatically locked and could not be reopened without professional help.
We understand that your vehicle may typically unlock when the keys are inside. However, that function is dependent on the key fob working properly. In this case, due to the fob's limitations, the automatic unlock feature did not engage, which caused the delay at the port.
Regarding the storage fees, we will be covering those costs directly. Once the locksmith service was completed and payment was received, your vehicle was scheduled for pickup on the next available truck. There was no intentional delay, and we remained in contact as updates became available.
We regret that your experience did not reflect the level of service we strive to provide. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Use anybody else
Use anybody else. Absolutely the worst company I have ever worked with. Lana their manager is more interested in talking over customers to prove her point than assisting them. She’s rude, dismissive, and not suited for the position she is in. I’ve had so many issues with this company since I decided to work with them. Aside from charging me $300 extra and keeping a card on file that I asked them to destroy, my car was supposed to be on a shipment leaving two weeks before. I only found out my car had been moved because I called to confirm as I was driving in between states to drop it off. They weren’t professional enough to give me a curtesy call or a heads up. They make you hold for 30min to an hour and are unable to answer any questions. This was supposed to be an easy two week process but it is looking like it’ll take two months.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret that you’ve felt this level of frustration. We’d like to clarify a few points regarding your concerns.
We did not charge an additional $300. The full shipping amount and coverage were initially processed on the wrong card. After you let us know, we refunded the coverage amount and reprocessed it on the correct card you asked to use. No extra charges were made.
Regarding your vehicle’s shipment, we sent an email on May 30 confirming that the vessel had departed. You were also provided with a booking number that can be used to track your vehicle at any time by visiting https://www.matson.com/auto-tracking.html
We understand how important communication and support are throughout this process and we apologize if there were delays or if you had difficulty reaching us. We’ll make sure your feedback is shared with the team to help us continue improving.

Scammed
Scammed, a month late, and thousands of dollars out because of this company. Do not use this company.
I booked with another company because this one was $500 more, but of course we got quotes from multiple companies.
Paid for another company, they said they would call my partner to schedule the pickup. This company called my partner to schedule a pick up (literally the same day as our car was supposed to be picked), said they talked to me (when they didn't) and pretended like they were the other company scheduling the pickup. That we already paid for. My partner assumed it was the company we booked with (yes his fault for not looking into further). We didn't even realize it wasn't the company we paid for until we got the tracking and noticed the different company name.
So now Hawaii Car Transport has our car while we already paid the other company ($500 cheaper too) to ship our car and we are trying to get a refund with that company. I know this part is yes our fault, and believe me I wish so badly we went with the other company we booked with, but their sales tactics were scammy and dishonest when they called to schedule the pickup for a shipment we didn't book.
So now we paid $500 more on top of the thousands it costed to ship as well as still haven't received a refund from the company we wanted to go with but we were too late now that Hawaii Car transport had our car. We accepted our fate. However this isn't even the worst part. On the shipping date from the port, they called and said they locked the keys in the car, no biggie we have remote access and unlocked the car, they said they got it in it was all good. Keep in mind we have been in constant communication and calling them since we had this mishap in the beginning we were now aware to triple check everything. Then a few days later they said they couldn't get the car on the shipment because the keys were locked in the car, and said the new shipment would be a MONTH later. This makes no sense as we resolved the car locked issue as soon as they called and confirmed it was good, as well as a month later is way too long. A few days is understandable.
We need to rent a car for a month longer than expected, with no recourse from this company. This late shipment is not our fault. With the company we originally booked with they said that if something like this happened they would get us a rental car, but apparently this company will not.
So to recap, we are not only paying $500 more for this company, do not have a refund for our original company for the shipment $2200, and now have to rent a car for around $2000 for the month that this company has delayed us and pay for our monthly car payment $600 for it to sit at a port for almost 2 months. and this company is doing nothing.
Regret it so much. I am sorry to write this as I'm usually able to be understanding but when it's this much money that you are stressed about it, it affects your life entirely.

We’re truly sorry for the frustration and stress this situation has caused. We know how difficult and expensive this has been for you, and we’d like to address a few points to clear up any confusion.
It sounds like there may have been some overlap in communication with the companies you were working with, and we encourage you to reach out to the original company you booked with to see if they can provide the refund you’re seeking.
As for the delay, we completely understand how upsetting it is to have your plans pushed back like this. While we do everything we can to ensure timely deliveries, there are times when unexpected issues come up. Our terms of agreement do state:
"Customer acknowledges that in the event of any delays, Company will not be liable for rental car, hotel stays, or any other claimed expense or consequential damage."
Again, we’re really sorry for everything you’ve been through and how this has impacted you.

Shipping a motorcycle from San Diego to…
Shipping a motorcycle from Las Vegas to Hawaii had more frustrations than it was worth. First the shipment was approved on Nov. 6, but was told a week later "there are no skids available". I searched all of Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego and they were right. I offered to build one, but time restraints had me go ahead and order their "pick up at home" in Las Vegas for an extra $1,000. Guaranteeing a skid.
...this did not happen. The truck company out of Chicago, loaded the bike in a flat bed covered truck, in Las Vegas, and took over a WEEK to deliver it 150 miles away to Las Vegas, going to Phoenix, Arizona first.
They missed all of the agreed deadlines for delivering the bike to the dock in San Diego. It then took ONE MORE WEEK to skid and load the bike on the ship.
We missed all deadlines for the motorcycle show to demo the bike, a point we had emphasized was important - several times, and spent $1,000 more than we needed to have the bike picked up, delivered and on a skid, just to have it delivered a week late, and shipped a week after that.
Pick up in Las Vegas was Nov 26. It was delivered to the Dock 150 miles away on Dec. 2. It was then shipped on Dec. 12. It was supposed to have shipped on Nov. 29, nearyly 2 weeks earlier. Actual shipping time ON BOAT is 6-7 days. We could have had this bike a month earlier with any other shipper.
Bike to arrive Dec 18 at dock, and available for pickup Dec 20. We have a few more days right now to wait it out and make sure it was not damaged and all parts arrive with it.
Never again. Pasha offers a much better service and timline.
