Harris TeeterReviews of harristeeter.com

Was given my receipt and ask to take the survey and. The receipt states 5 days to redeem so on the 4th day I attempted to take the survey and the web site says survey no longer available. Date of shopping was 12/19/2025 Ref#055001 amount spent $286.13

Purchased live clams. 5 out of 30 were bad. The odor was surprisingly disgusting. A good seafood department would know to rinse first and check. Especially when I saw a few of the display clams dead.

They run short-staffed, so they have a self-checkout area with a staff person staring at you as you DIY. Their system will stop and alert the staff multiple times because it believes you're stealing. The staff comes over, watches a video, and clears it until it happens again. Last time, it happened twice and the staff person watched the video in detail and of course found nothing wrong. That was enough; I walked, leaving them to put the items back and will not return. I will go out of my way to use other retailers.

Advertised prices don't ring up at checkout. Customer Service website is a mess.

Harris Teeter is becoming invasive online. I tried to unsubscribe to their spam but when I clicked the unsubscribe button I was take to a page where I had to create an account in order to unsubscribe. Creating an account has no purpose but for H-T to sell me to other spammers. This should be illegal. As a consumer my only choice is to stop shopping there; fortunately I have two other choices.
