They might have good providers but the cost is ridiculous. They wanted to charge me $350 after insurance for an appointment with a nurse. That's what my surgeon charges FYI. Money grubbing health care business. Hard pass.

Happier living is a horrible platform…
Happier living is a horrible platform if you’re serious about your mental health. I’ve been in an appointment and had it cancelled, bc they claim they were missing paperwork. They’re CS center is PST, so you can’t get help with an 8am appointment if your on EST. There is no way to speak with your clinician directly, and the call center is basically like talking to robots. USE ANOTHER PLATFORM.

Avoid this practice
Avoid this practice. I feel Happier Living runs like a money grab with a medical license attached. Every interaction, no matter how minor, requires a 40-minute virtual appointment, which conveniently happens to be the visit length they can bill the most for. There is no option for a quick check-in, even for something as routine as a medication refill.
When I explained that my insurance doesn't cover their visits (almost $300 I must pay out of pocket each time) and asked if a shorter appointment was available for a simple refill, they stopped responding entirely. Silence, from a practice that exists to provide care to people who need continuity. I feel all they care about is meeting revenue goals, and they will squeeze as much as they can out of you to do so.

Avoid this medical practice at all…
Avoid this medical practice at all costs. Their unreliability is actively dangerous to patients, yet their predatory billing policies are downright cruel. On multiple occasions, I have paid for visits only to leave without my necessary prescriptions because they failed to have a provider with the proper credentials on staff. No service provided, no medication, and zero refunds.
I have had to go on and off my ADHD medication repeatedly due to their severe staffing issues and chronic, late refills. Yet, despite being completely incapable of providing reliable care, they had the audacity to charge my husband a $500 no-show fee.
They demand absolute compliance and outrageous penalties from patients while operating with total incompetence themselves. Calling this a "healthcare facility" is a stretch—it operates far more like a money-grab scam. Save yourself the stress, money, and medical disruption and go anywhere else.

If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would.
The only reason I stayed with Happier Living as long as I have is because my psychiatrist has been phenomenal. He has been caring, professional, and truly helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Happier Living’s billing department and the company they use to manage billing.
I had an appointment on March 4, 2026. Before leaving my previous employer, my health insurance benefits had been extended through March 31, 2026, so the visit should have been covered. Months went by without anyone contacting me to let me know there was an issue with the claim. I continued under the assumption everything had been processed correctly.
Then, out of nowhere, on June 27, I received an email saying I owed $480 because the claim had been denied. The very next day, the money was automatically withdrawn from my bank account.
No phone call. No meaningful notice. No opportunity to contact my insurance company before nearly $500 was taken from my account.
Had someone reached out when the claim was first denied, I could have contacted Anthem immediately. That’s exactly what I did after the withdrawal, and Anthem quickly discovered there had been an error. They corrected it and confirmed my coverage had, in fact, been active.
On July 2, a Happier Living representative, Loreen, emailed me confirming they had spoken with Anthem, verified my coverage had been extended, were resubmitting the March 4 claim, and that my money would be refunded as soon as possible.
On July 6, I followed up after confirming through Anthem’s member portal that the claim had been approved on June 30. Instead of receiving an update, I was sent what appeared to be a generic response incorrectly stating the claim had been denied. This response came in the very same email thread where Happier Living had already acknowledged the claim had been corrected.
I replied with documentation showing the approved claim and asked for someone to review the situation. I followed up again requesting confirmation that my emails had been received.
As of today, I still have not received a response, and I still have not received my refund.
The lack of communication, the contradictory information, and the amount of effort required on my part to correct a mistake that was never mine is unacceptable. Patients should not have to chase down their own money after an insurance issue has already been resolved.
I am a single mother, and unexpectedly withdrawing $480 from my account without giving me a reasonable opportunity to resolve the insurance issue created unnecessary financial stress. Once Anthem corrected the claim, I expected the refund process to move quickly. Instead, I have been left repeatedly following up with little to no communication.
I have even canceled my upcoming appointment because I no longer trust Happier Living’s billing process enough to risk another issue.
If you’re considering Happier Living, I strongly encourage you to read the other billing complaints before making your decision. My provider has been wonderful, but the billing experience has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had.

Fraudulent charges
I saw a happier livings portal provider through ZocDoc and my insurance covered the visit. I was told to sign up to their portal to communicate with the provider. They charged me $500 for signing up to their portal, with no additional service or appointments scheduled.

“Unhappiest Living”
I have been with Happier Living for quite awhile now and they recently just deducted $500 out of my account for a cancellation that I never cancelled. I joined my zoom appointment in a moving vehicle on my way to go camping. They said it is a safety issue and I cannot proceed a session with other people in the car. So they cancelled it and are charging me for it. I don’t have $500 laying around and that is money I need to pay my bills in this horrible economy. No wonder I have anxiety, it’s because of crooked companies like this. I searched everywhere for their cancellation policy and can’t find anything about what they are saying. Them making a buck is more important than the clients and thank you for contributing to my mental health even more, I hope you all sleep better at night knowing you just stole my money. This is why I have medical insurance. So disgusting.
