Hanger Clinic could not provide a prosthetic that fit without experienceing serious pain. I believe the organization standard for care is "Just good enough".

I was referred to Hanger St Peter's, MO for a knee brace, built up shoes and options on a KAFO. I told Kevin I wanted to walk on mymshoes for awhile and determine if they will resolve me mobility problem. If not I would order the KAFO. Kevin told the VA I didn't want the KAFO, according to the VA. Now the VA wants me to start all over again after 9 months work with them. If you familiar with the va you know working with them very difficult. That's the position Hanger has left for me. I will continue to struggle with my mobility at 77 years old. A onee that hyperextends, an unstable ankle a a foot that rolls to the outside. I do not recommend Hanger in St Peter's, MO. I am devastated and my leg continues to hurt. Jim

This is about the Torrance Office and is the most difficult group to deal with. Just to get an appointment was a total pain in the as*. Wanted me to see a doctor they use for prescriptions. I told them I had a very recent prescription. They tried to say I had to use their doctor, which is patently illegal. Finally they agreed to accept my recent prescription, but refused to give me an appointment until it was transferred. Also the prosthetic they gave me several years ago was big and clunky. I had to get a whole new one. They simply cannot get their act together.

I’ve used Hanger for the first time in 2020 and had excellent results then the tech’s I had all got other locations and then they went down from there. Had tech come from Washington St. full blooded democrat with the attitude of BS. Made 2 prosthetics never fitted properly and I decided to go to New Life which when I got my prosthetic it was extremely to lose. They put a sleeve in it and it never fit. They are off my list also. Seems like a virus spreading through the system of incompetence!!!

knee brace. Manager measured wrong and got wrong size. Had to wait another week 1/2 . after the second brace within 2 days, brace started slipping to the floor all the time & I was in pain. Tried velcro and sticky material and nothing worked. Called Hanger back and manager said he knew this happened and was nothing he could do. Darn thing cost me $300.00 and I'm still in pain. Also had to make several trips at 52 miles round trip. I have now been in contact with the manufacturer and they believe they can help me but at a cost.
