Like almost cut my finger off on the electric can opener.I sent pictures of the can opener malfunction and did not cut the can.All the way through, that's how I cut my finger.I went to the doctor I had to get stitches.Somebody from Hamilton beach called me and what did I get out of return Another can opener that I did not want the doctor said I almost cut my finger off.And this is how you treat your customers , not good

I will NEVER buy another Hamilton Beach product again based on how this company has forgotten how to treat its customers when we have to deal with major product defect. I want to start by saying that our family has over MANY years purchased MANY HB products. We recently purchased a slow cooker. Used it four times. I noticed a small indent in the body close to control panel which I thought odd as it had not been bumped or dropped. I shrugged it off and used it the 4th and last time. The slow cooker body literally caved in on itself separating the body from both base and control panel. I immediately unplugged it and contacted HB customer service. They said, email pictures and they would see if they could replace it. Email back saying, "good news. We can send u an upgraded model to replace your defective one. All u have to pay is $39.99 in shipping and handling fees" WHAT?! I paid for a severely defective product produced by Hamilton Beach and now I have to pay for shipping the cost of which is marginally less than just buying a new one! I am out of pocket for a product that caved in on itself and the out of pocket to pay for "shipping and handling ?!". What a shame that Hamilton Beach values customers so little.

Terrible management, brazen disregard for customer concerns, even after 2months of multiple follow ups cannot get a resolution. They stay away from public channels to get our feedback and improve their customers satisfaction and brand loyalty, not sure what their business is upto. Stay away from their terrible outdated cumbersome appliances. Their competitors are well equipped to handle all concerns n resolve.

Aaron was my representative via email when I could not file my warranty from their website. We have a kettle that no longer heats up when placed on its electric base. It was purchased less than 4 months ago. We provided pictures of the unit as well as our invoice to Aaron as requested. After choosing a smaller size, lesser priced and REFURBISHED unit with free shipping, I was sent an invoice for $12. For whaT? If it's a warranty item, what is the $12 for? It does not indicate what it is for on the invoice I was sent from Aaron and sales tax would amount to less than $2. If I chose an item from the site via the link provided by Aaron, that has free shipping for a warranty item replacement, why was I asked to pay an additional $12? No, thank you, I will choose a more reliable Brand that has a warranty that's actually consumer oriented and not one that seems to charge the customer for their defective product. We are on a fixed income and choosing a reputable company is important. Adding costs to defective merchandise doesn't seem like fair customer service. This experience is disappointing. Thank you.

This is a review of the Hamilton Beach 1.7 liter Variable Temperature electric kettle model #41027R. This kettle was purchased to replace an old but still functioning stove top kettle, it was purchased at Ollie's Bargain outlet for $9.99. The construction of this kettle is of a stainless steel interior with an attractive brushed black stainless steel exterior. It has a water window with water column markings and blue LED lights to help indicate the water level and a mesh water straining filter in the spout. The kettle itself is cord free, it sits on a corded base that has an integrated cord wrap. This kettle freature a 1500 watt heating element that will bring a full kettle of 1.7 liters or approximately 58 fluid ounces to a full boil in just under 5 minutes. This kettle also features boil dry protection that will shut down the heating element if no water is detected. The instruction manual states that this kettle has a 3-prong power cord however my example only has a 2-prong power cord.An lastly one of the main features of this kettle is it's ability to select a predetermined temperature and to hold it once that selected temperature is achieved. the predetermined temperatures are 160F, 175F, 180F, 190F, 200F, BOIL. On the handle there are four buttons an ON/OFF, Hold, + and -, with indicator lights to tell you what temperature you have selected whether the unit is ON or OFF and if the Hold function is activated. In use this kettle outperformed the Bodum Gooseneck kettle I reviewed in almost every aspect. Checking the accuracy of the temperatures I found them to be close enough within a degree or two to not be of a concern and the boil temp by my infrared temp gun measured 215F when the kettle shut off indicating it reached temp. The only drawbacks I encountered with this kettle is that when full it is heavy and the accuracy of the pouring spout is not well suited for pour over coffee although it will get the job done with patience and practice. In conclusion I found a well-constructed small kitchen appliance that is attractive and can multi task because of it's multiple temperature settings. I you are looking for a do everything kettle with multiple heat settings and a large water capacity, this Hamilton Beach kettle model #41027R comes highly recommend.
