After reading negative reviews I thought I would add in my feedback. I heard about Hairstory through a friend and thought I would give it a go. My hair is past shoulder length, slightly wavy, and prone to frizz. I would always wash twice followed by conditioner. I had products filling our bathroom cabinets - none of those I loved, but I still used them. I purchased New Wash Original, and was extremely excited when it arrived. Pouch appeared smaller than I expected, but I was aware what I had purchased. My eyes - I need to recalibrate- and get used to a different product. First hair wash - yes, it sure did feel different. So I did it twice to ensure the product was through my hair. Rinsing - again, I was enthusiastic and ensured my hair was well rinsed. Result: absolutely love my hair. My hair feels different, no frizz. I feel as if I have the correct oil distribution throughout the length of my hair. I have been using the products now for 8 months and will never go back to shampoo and conditioner. I have also purchased the hair oil and hair balm. Again, products are incredible to feel - they feel smooth and of high quality without feeling gluggy. I am absolutely thrilled with my hair, the Hairstory products and the staffs response to my emails.

I’m still trying out the shampoo/conditioner (Deep, since I have a pretty oily scalp). I don't know yet if I think if that’s worth it but I can say I LOVE the dry shampoo. It smells great, gives volume without that tacky feel, easy to apply at work if my hairs still a little wet when I leave from steaming to get curls back and the puff gives just the right amount. I will definitely be buying the dry shampoo again and recommend it to anyone who wants to go longer in between washes. Great product!!

This product is brilliant, I have suffered from psoriasis on my scalp for years and nothing worked not prescription shampoos because of chemicals and frothing agents, nor ordinary shampoos for the same reasons,I have to make sure that it is rinsed out thoroughly or my hair looks greasy but on the plus side my hair is no longer frizzy; you do have to take time rinsing excess product out of your hair and then it is perfect; my hairdresser is astounded and has bought some for his partner who also suffers from psoriasis of the scalp, an amazing product my hair used to be very wavy but no longer I now I have the hair I longed for in my teens

I absolutely love this product. I initially tried a friends and did not rate it, feeling like my hair was greasy and gross after washing. My friend gave me some more to try and told me to really make sure I rinsed it out thoroughly. I followed the instructions on the site to the tee (massaged really thoroughly, comb through, leave on hair for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly) and I was blown away with how my hair felt! Every wash since the condition of my hair has improved. I now can last around 4 days between washes, and I suspect this will increase when I have my colour done. My hair looks amazing every day. My hair is blonde (highly bleached), thick and wavy. I will never use anything else!

Love love love!! My blowouts last longer and my hair is soft and shiny. A small amount of New Wash goes a long way, so do y over use it. Be sure to rinse really well and you’ll love it too.

I've been using new wash original and sometimes rich, for around 18 months now. I LOVE these products. My hair is moisturised and manageable and I can leave it down from wet without having to heat stroke anymore. I've never been able to do this previously - and I've tried everything over the years. I was very surprised to see some of these other reviews. It does take a bit of getting used to, maybe they need to do a lighter version for some people. But I've always had great customer service from them and fast delivery. Product lasts ages. Happy customer.

I have fine, wavy and curly hair that frizzes easily. I used JUST the shampoo and forgot about doing anything else and fell asleep. The next morning, my husband said, "Oh, your hair! What did you do?" I ran to the mirror and my hair was BEAUTIFUL. It looked like I had spent actual time on it. Loose curls and defined waves. It was really something! My stylist showed me to use an inch or so only and work it with water into the scalp with a shampoo brush. Let the remnants go through the rest of the hair. Love it.

After reading so many poor reviews I felt obligated to leave this fantastic review for Hairstory with some advice for people trying it out! If you go straight from washing your hair every day with a sulphate shampoo and a silicone conditioner then your hair will go through a greasy messy transition period that takes 6 weeks (or longer for some people!) to clear up. I think this is why so many people are unhappy with the product at first. This isn’t the products fault! It takes time for your hair to get used to not having to over produce oil. I began using new wash (original) but had already cut out sulphate shampoos & silicone conditioners for a long time. I had also gradually transitioned from washing every day to every 3 days and then more recently once a week. So my hair had already gone through the horrible transition phase. The results I have from new wash are just incredible! It cleans my hair while leaving it super soft and shiny (even through I have a full head of blond highlights). My advice is to get the rubber brush for the shower or a similar brush to make sure you really scrub your scalp. This also helps to rinse the product out properly. For me this product gets 5 stars because it does not contain any surfactants (many non-sulphate shampoos still have surfactants) but cleans my hair while leaving it soft and healthy
