I have been using the Original New wash for about a year now and absolutely love it. It takes a bit of time to get used to the lack of froth and foam, but adding a dribble of water onto the scalp while massaging in really helps. Silky, smooth, and tangle free all with just one wash. Gone are the days of two washes. No problems with delivery as I am on a subscription. Taking into account how less often I need to wash my hair, and I now do not need a conditioner, the price seems reasonably fair. I am a genuine customer in my mid 60s with quite a bit of hair and don't think I will ever use anything else again. PS I don't even allow my hairdresser to use any other shampoo on my head!

After seeing Caroline Stahl and The Hair Bros talk about Hairstory in her Tiktoks I was intrigued to try. I placed the order on a Sunday and it arrived the following day! Delivery speeds not seen outside of Amazon! MY HAIR: I have fine thick straight hair that gets oily at the roots and dry/damaged at the ends. I usually was my hair once/twice a week. NEW WASH ORIGINAL REVIEW: VALUE FOR MONEY: The bottle is a lot smaller than I thought - I got a big discount by using Caroline's code in the checkout which helps. but I do find it's very expensive for what you get. I know they say it replaced shampoo AND conditioner but I'd use up a whole bottle in a month if I used it as both. HOW IT WORKED: I've used many a co-wash before and love them. This does feel different, it's hard to explain - it feel a bit more shampooy and can leave a testure behind if you don't rinse very very well. I found my hair felt AMAZING after the first wash. I was sure to rinse, rinse and RINSE but using a brush as I believe the issues everyone has below is due to not: 1. Washing and repeating to remove dirt 2. Using a scalp brush as I think this really helps clean the scalp and remove product build up 3. Rinsing enough I find I need to use another conditioner on my ends to make sure my hair doesn't go poofy/use up all the product too quickly. I like this product but the cost for size along with the anxiety of making sure I rinse it all out doesn't make the cost worth it for me. I would say the As I Am co-wash is far better value for money and easier to use. BUT I may re-buy it again if there are any more discounts. UNDRESSED: Nice salt spray (without the salt). But it's not worth the price for me at all. HAIR BALM: Nice balm but didn't really wow me - again not worth the price for me. Although, Customer Service have sent me some instructions on how to get the most of out Hair Balm and Undressed which I'd recommend contacting them to get this info as I can't paste it below. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Outstanding! Like I said above, my order arrived in less and 24 hours! And when I contacted customer service regarding their returns policy, they sorted out my issue so quickly. I was expecting some push back but they were so helpful - thank you Lou! Overall I'm impressed with Hairstory and will consider repurchasing New wash or their dry shampoo if I can get another referral discount. OTHER NOTES: The products packaging is a little underwhelming for the price point. The New Wash is in great squeezy packaging which I think is a great idea, but Undressed and Hair Balm's packaging felt quite basic.

This product was recommended to me by my stylist. Was I hesitant in purchasing due to the cost? Yes, definitely but when you think about how often you wash your hair and how often you have to buy product, it's basically the same price if not less when factoring. You will not get instant results, trust the process, 8 weeks is a long time but you will definitely see the results after. But also you cannot really use other products, like styling...you should only use Hairstory while expecting full results. My hair is on its way back from an extreme recovery of 17yrs of box dye, since switching to Hairstory my hair hasn't looked this good or been this healthy in years. My stylist was shocked by how good my hair looked when it was time for my touch-up...credit goes to your products and her amazing skills. I do advise you watch you tube videos and the videos on their site, again it's not your average shampoo, so you should not be washing as you normally would with regular shampoo. 100% worth the time the results take to show and the money!

I'm so happy that my daughter who has long dark wavy hair raved about this product and gave me some to try before I purchased it. I have short blonde (colored) fine hair (but a lot of it) so I wasn't sure what to expect since I had been using an expensive purple shampoo and conditioner to prevent brassiness. Because of the coloring, the ends were a bit dry, and when I tried Hairstory just once, I was thrilled with the results! It works so well for my hair and it did not strip the color at all - no brassiness in sight! I had to order some right away!

My stylist recommended Hair Story, and I really love the product. I spent a great deal of time researching the product before buying, and paid close attention to how to use the wash on my hair. For reference, my hair is normal, not dry or oily. The directions say to rinse, rinse, and rinse again, with a brush, which is exactly what I did. My hair has felt wonderful and stays clean for longer. Other reviewers have commented about the cost of Hair Story, and if you compare the costs of a both a high-end shampoo and conditioner, New Wash by Hair Story is actually less expensive.

Any terrible reviews about this shampoo are from people who have not learned how to use it properly. I was one of them in the first year I used it, but I didn’t give up and eventually figured it out. The key is to use a enough of the product to thoroughly coat your entire hair from scalp to ends. I have also found scritching and preening daily to be super helpful. Now my hair is in the best condition that it has ever been. No more tangles or split ends. I can go as long as a whole week without my hair becoming super greasy as it has before. Plus, my hair dye now no longer fades after just a few washes. I swear by this product.
