Love these glasses, seriously thank you for the virtual try on feature, it helps me find the perfect frame. On top of that it looks exactly like how it would when I got my hands on it. Very high quality feel and light. Highly recommend.

Gunnar's marketing material states how much light is blocked at the 450nm wavelength. While this is very useful information, it is only telling you the lens performance for a single wavelength. I recommend sticking with manufacturers that publish the performance of their lens over the entire visible spectrum, not just a single wavelength. Note that the blue light spectrum runs from 380nm to 500nm wavelengths. Current studies are showing that any blue light from 400 to 450nm can cause retina damage. Blue light from the entire blue spectrum (380nm to 500nm) is shown to effect sleep quality (blue light is good in the morning, bad at night), cognitive functions (tied to sleep quality) and mood (blue light helps prevent Seasonal Affective Disorder). Thus it is critical to understand how your lens performs over the entire blue light spectrum, not just at a single wavelength I reached out to Gunnar asking for their light transmittance data (a graph that shows how much light the lens blocks/passes over the entire visible spectrum) for their Amber Max BLPF 98 lens. They did respond promptly, but sent information for their Amber BLPF 65 lens. I wrote back thanking them for the info, but pointed out that I was asking about the Amber Max BLPF 98 lens. They wrote back saying they did not have that data for the Amber Max BLPF 98 lens. Given that blue light protection is important for critical health reasons I suggest sticking with manufacturers that test their lens over the full visible light spectrum and publicly publish the results. Several of Gunnar’s competitors openly publish the light transmittance graph for their lens on their websites

Hello Paul, We take our Blue Light Protection Factor™ (BLPF) measurements at the peak of the blue light spectrum (450nm) where exposure has the most significant impact on melatonin production, affecting the body’s natural sleep cycle. While we are concerned with protecting eyes against the entire blue light range, we like to present an easy to understand measurement to compare each lens tint against the others. Our GUNNAR Amber Max Lens offers a Blue Light Protection Factor™ (BLPF) of 98, blocking 99.9% of blue light at 380 nm, 98% of Blue Light at 450 nm, and 91% of blue light at 500 nm. Warm regards, Team GUNNAR

I paid this $45 (w/ shipping) & arrived in 5 weekdays. I thought the "low" 65% UV light deflection compare to the 100% $8 competitor at Amazon (I bought Gunnar 1st) would mean the overpriced Gunnar haven't protected my lasik eyes as the $8 one. I actually didn't get computer eyes syndrome when I game, watch & work on my laptop. I took 1 star off because my $8 glasses also performed the same as Gunna. & I actually use both interchangeably. Overall if you want a trusted gaming computer I can recommend this glasses.

I love the style and look for the Trooper nonprescription glasses I purchased. They seem well built and sturdy. I have been wearing them about 10 - 11 hours per day for the last week and have noticed a positive difference, I am not getting headaches like I used to. When working on my computer or playing video games on my PC or Switch they are great. The only problem I have is then playing video games on my TV. This is because my television is more than 36" (3ft) away. My 65" TV sits about 48" - 54" away and I notice that the inside of my eyes (the bridge of my nose) begins to throb. I believe this is because the glasses have 0.25 magnification spaced about 55mm apart. I found that while not advertised anywhere most Gunner glasses have this magnification to help draw your eyes together when looking at electronic devices at or closer than 36". The glasses perform well for what they are advertised for. I would have liked to know that the glasses have 0.25 magnification. However, I think I would have purchased them even knowing that info. If you are buying these glasses for console gaming and your TV is further than 36" away from your face I would reconsider. As I use them primarily for work with a few hours a week casually gaming they function well for that.

The new glasses are way Superior to my old gunnar they are replacing (onyx, I think) the frame is way better. Delivery is a tad slower than buying on Amazon, but I didn't find this model on Amazon. Anyways, I will buy from you guys again.
