My experience with Guitar Mastery has been eye opening.
My experience with Guitar Mastery has been life changing, in my guitar playing. Also my understanding the methods in major scales to minor scales. These two things has really improved my playing with more feeling as get into playing along with back tracks, it's really has changed my playing. I really have been blessed to find Guitar Mastery and I love the live sessions I get to watch and learn from Charlie and the others. New techniques are always welcome with me. I know we all just got a taste of it and it's delicious! I'am ready to soak it all in if I am able.
I will share this with every musician I come in contact with. We all need improvement in all we do in this life.

GMM is put together by some of the most…
GMM is put together by some of the most dedicated and talented "instructors" I have ever encountered. I've resisted taking lessons on the guitar for many years although I always wanted to learn to play. The apprehension I was feeling was fear of not being able to learn and therefore - fail. When I took the chance and joined the GMM team, it came with an amazing group of talented and dedicated teachers who really put everything into what they do. Really good at what they do. ZERO judgement (which I didn't think was possible) and the community (of other like minded guitarists) - helps make this work as well. You never feel like you are on your own and I have never seen / heard anyone critical of anyone else learning! (great for beginners and talented guitarists alike). Fantastic community.

Life changing experiences!
What can one say about a company, and the people within that company, that changed your life for the better? I have suffered from PTSD and decided that playing the guitar would be a way for me to help keep myself grounded. When I joined GMM, I have very little knowledge of the guitar. I started in one of the beginner lessons, became a VIP member and 3 months later joined the live classes they called Lead Guitar for Life. It has now been over 3 years of wonderful learning and vast improvement on the guitar. Last year I attended the inaugural Guitar Mastery Live in Nashville and got to meet these instructors (and many awesome GMM members) face-to-face. Best experience ever! Charlie is so dedicated to improving the skills of his members! I have tried other companies, but they are so impersonal compared to GMM. You feel like you get to know the instructors and the other members. The community that has been built is second to none! Thank you GMM for helping me improve my guitar skills and even more so for helping me reclaim my own life away from the symptoms of PTSD! I love this company and all that are involved in making it work!

Hi Shawn,
Thank you so much for sharing this… honestly, it really means a lot to all of us.
Reading how guitar—and GMM—has helped you stay grounded and move forward is incredibly powerful. That’s so much bigger than just learning an instrument, and we don’t take that lightly.
It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come too—from just getting started, to jumping into VIP, joining Lead Guitar for Life, and even making it out to Guitar Mastery Live in Nashville. Being able to meet in person and connect like that is something really special, and we’re so glad you got to experience it.
Charlie and the whole team genuinely care about helping people grow—not just as players, but as people—and your message really hits home for that.
We’re really grateful you’re part of this community. And if you ever need anything, you know where to find us: [email protected]

I have been playing for around 50 years…
I have been playing for around 50 years off and on. would quit playing then start again but would always end up in the same place as before and would stop, when I found this program it was amazing I learned more about being musical when I played in 4 weeks than I had in then last 15 years. The instructors are light hearted in their approach but very serious in teaching how to play better. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is stuck with their playing.

Hi Carl,
Wow—what a journey. 50 years on and off, and then finally breaking through… that’s incredible to hear.
It’s something we hear a lot—that feeling of being stuck in the same place for years—and it’s awesome that you were able to make more progress in a few weeks than you had in such a long time before. That’s exactly what we’re aiming for.
Glad you’re enjoying the balance too—the instructors keeping things light but still really focused on helping you improve. That mix matters.
Really appreciate the recommendation, and we’re pumped to have you in the community. If you ever need anything along the way, just reach out to [email protected]

After over 50 years of noodling around…
After over 50 years of noodling around on the guitar, jumping from YouTube video to video trying to learn how to solo I took a chance on GMM and the VIP club. They promised to give me real progress on the guitar. And let me tell you they DELIVERED 120%. I just completed the Master the Fretboard Course and I can now play effortlessly across the fretboard jamming to multiple keys. If you REALY want to learn the guitar and the fretboard. What are you waiting for? Sign up to GMM and the VIP CLUB!

This is awesome to read—thank you for sharing it!
After 50+ years of jumping around and trying to figure things out, that kind of breakthrough is huge. Finishing Master the Fretboard and now being able to move across the neck and jam in multiple keys—that’s a big moment.
Really glad to hear the program delivered for you (and then some!). That’s exactly what we’re aiming for—real, noticeable progress.
Appreciate you being part of the community and for the recommendation. If you ever need anything, we’re always here at [email protected]

at made my experience so great is…Light Bulb Moments
What made my experience so great is that now I know the CAGED System better than ever. I can look at the fretboard and visualize all 5 patterns on the Fretboard, all of the right notes in each pattern, the Root notes, maj and mi, the blue notes, 5th, 3rd, 7th, 2nd. Solo over the chord changes 1,4&5. And so much more. The instructors and community are always eager to help.

Hey Delwayne,
This is so great to hear—thank you for sharing it!
Being able to truly see the fretboard like that—connecting the CAGED system, root notes, intervals, and actually soloing over changes—that’s a massive step forward. That’s when things really start to feel musical instead of mechanical.
Also love that you called out the instructors and community—that support piece makes a big difference, and we’re glad you’re feeling it.

UNBIASED and UNCOMPENSATED REVIEW
This review is being submitted 6 months into my experience with Guitar Mastery Method.
At which point, 2 courses have been completed with another upcoming. This might not sound like a significant accomplishment, without a brief summary.
The first course allowed me to finally overcome mechanical issues that had plagued me back to last millenium. These changes have allowed me to play much more efficiently! The ergonomic change has vastly improved endurance, and I don't feel contorted or strained to play or practice.
The second course has been focused on applying the pentatonic patterns to the fretboard, and familiarity with root notes along with supplemental notes for phrasing. Unlike previous efforts, GMM has presented the information and accompanying exercises to maximize retention. The material is accessible for review, and the teachings are very simple to put into practice.
One could conclude that the results from these 2 courses alone are worth the price of membership. There are a multitude of archives and modules available which are suitable for absolute beginners, journeymen and those needing to correct issues. The foundation is absolutely solid with GMM, and you get far beyond what you pay.

Hey Dann,
This is such a great breakdown of your experience—really appreciate you taking the time to share it.
Fixing mechanical issues that have been hanging around for years (or decades!) is no small thing. The fact that you’re now playing more efficiently and more comfortably is a huge win. That kind of change can completely transform how enjoyable playing feels.
And it’s awesome to hear how the second course helped things really click with the fretboard and pentatonic patterns. That balance of simple concepts + practical repetition is exactly what we aim for, so it’s great to hear it’s working the way it should.
Love that you called out the accessibility too—being able to revisit and reinforce is where a lot of real progress happens.
Thanks again for sharing your journey so far, and we’re excited for what’s next for you. If you ever need anything, just reach out to [email protected]

my experience so far at guitar mastery method
my experience has been awesome and i have not yet fully taken advantage of all the resources available at gmm. the live sessions every sunday have been fantastic. i've learned more in the last six weeks than in many months of programs prior. the resources are there. the lessons are there. the instructors are there. all you have to do is take your personal motivation and invest it in this program. you will get results. and, compared to other resources i have used in the past, the value is here is a bonus. if you are willing to spend the time, you get far more value for far less cost than taking private lessons, or things like school of rock, or subscribing to multiple youtube channels, etc. finally, gmm offers a money back guarantee. so, there is no risk in trying. i was skeptical at first. when i signed up, i made note of the time allowed to cancel for a refund. it took only a few days and lessons to know that i would continue indefinitely. i just finished the m1 course of mastering the fretboard. it was a blast and i learned a lot. can't wait for m2 to start. give it a try. you'll love it. if i'm wrong, just cancel and nothing lost.

Hey Wayne,
This is awesome to read—thank you for taking the time to share it!
It’s great to hear how much progress you’ve made in just a few weeks, especially compared to past programs. That’s exactly what we want—real results, not just more content.
Love that you’re enjoying the Sunday live sessions too—they’re a big part of what makes the experience feel alive and interactive. And you nailed it: the resources, lessons, and instructors are all there… it just takes that personal commitment to bring it all together.
Really glad you gave it a shot despite the initial skepticism—and even better that you knew pretty quickly it was the right fit. Congrats on finishing M1 of Mastering the Fretboard too… M2 is going to be a great next step 🔥
