Buyer beware.. It’s now going on over 1 month since I’ve tried to roll over my 401k out of Guideline. The checks bounced at my other financial institution and now they are holding my money for 3 weeks before they can issue a check to me directly. The amount of frustration and loss I’ve Incurred during this time is outrageous. Looks good on the surface and when you’re interacting with their software but the fact that this transfer out process has taken so long is the snake oil they’re selling you on the back end. Borderline illegal.

Their website is absolutely horrible. It is the exact opposite of user friendly. I go to access quarterly statement, and all it does is send me back to the dashboard. What a joke.

Terrible experience top to bottom. Currently trying to roll over a Roth and Traditional IRA from an old employer - the process they tell you to follow online is broken, I had to fill out manual forms, then manual call fidelity to get letters of acceptance, then manually upload them to Guideline of which they were "rejected" with every attempt. The support team is less than helpful, something is always broken and they don't even seen to know how their own product works (or doesn't). Fidelity is usually is able to initiate and complete transfers, but they said something about guideline's system (which they weren't even familiar with) blocked their transfer process and said it needed to go through them, which they clearly have no idea how to execute. Save yourself so many headaches and wasted time and stay away.

I am forced to use this company for my 401k due to my employer. The client customer service is horrible. They refer you to their document section to resolve any issues, which does not resolve. all problems. It is nearly impossible to speak with the same person twice. Shame on this customer service team. Seriously, avoid this company if at all possible

They do "Micro Transactions" to prove your account when transfering your money out, when your company, has let you go. Those MT (Micro Transactions), need to be added to your taxes. that is BS, I want my money, not the extra burden of there dimes. Also, milage may very, but I was able to do more with my own investments then they were. Recommendation: don't put money into them, and if a company uses them, then you may wish to get your own 401k, not this company.

I made an IRA contribution at the beginning of the year, and the money has been idle for three months. In short, they're holding my money hostage. They have not invested it, nor will they let me take it back out so I can put it into another IRA. They say it's a development issue, which seems like a serious violation of IRA management.

What my employer is taking out of my check is not going into my 401 or at least is not showing on my guideline account at all, I have reached out to the company several times via email no response. I even opted out since it was open enrollment and my company for some reason still sent the payment lol and that payment as well is not showing. I am not a happy camper! It is way to expensive to live in this economy and as a single mom with no other support, it sickens me to the core that I cannot at times even buy food for my kids. I may not pay much into the 401K, but something is something and every dollar counts. I work to way to hard to have my money taken from me. Please, do better and pay attention and kindly respond to my emails and make the proper adjustments to my account. Thank you
