Absolutely worst service I've ever seen. They handle short term disability and all they do is look for reasons to short you or deny you. When you finally get their approval and they tell you they've processed the funds, they don't send it out for weeks. You could end up homeless and on the street and they'll still piss around. It's absolutely disgusting. Calling in does no good. You could get 10 different agents that will tell you 10 different things. Their main customer service email account for STD never replies or does anything. Definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

I recently joined a company that offers Guardian dental insurance. At first glance, the plan seemed like a good option, but after a routine dental cleaning, I learned that I need two crowns. My dentist submitted a pre-determination request, and Guardian denied it almost immediately. What’s the point of having dental insurance if it won’t cover necessary dental work? This is an incredibly frustrating first impression, especially as a new member through my employer. Now my dentist has to go through the process of submitting an appeal, and if that’s denied, I’ll be contacting my employer’s benefits administrator to escalate the issue. Dental insurance is supposed to help make necessary dental care affordable, not create additional hurdles when you actually need to use your benefits. Very disappointed with Guardian so far.

One of the worst insurances I have ever dealt with. They will not even convert a routine cleaning fully. Even though they have "100% covered" on their benefits, they have a predetermined amount that they actually covered. There is no way for the patient to view or obtain this infromation. Only a doctor can do it, which requires a paid visit.

If you could give a zero to thia Insurance it would be a compliment I filed a claim six months ago , what they do is play a game they hold it up. Ask you for some information then they say they don’t receive it and when you send it multiple times, they finally come up with something else. My dentist said this is the first time in his 20 years of practice that they asked for his tax ID number now after six months and they gave him all the information they need. They’re asking me for the original x-ray. My dentist refuses to take their insurance so you have to pre-pay them he said because this is exactly what they do and that’s coming from a provider. He said he has claims that are two years out that they haven’t paid. That’s why he charges a less price and you pre-pay them. You are all self a favor. Don’t waste your time with this shit hole of a company.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The worst insurance company I have had the displeasure of working with. They do not call you back. I have had to reach out multiple times because they don't seem to be making any progress on my claim, and they don't really care to keep you updated or work on a solution. The state came back with a determination letter for my short term disability two weeks before my case with guardian even progressed. They said they were missing information but didn't once try to reach out or get that information, or even let me know that they were missing stuff, from my employer nonetheless. I call and every time there's no case manager, no supervisor, no one to talk to. They say they will call back within 2 business days, but a whole week will go by without hearing anything. Again, I have to chase them down to find out anything. The customer service reps have no clue what they are doing and are just deer in the headlights when you ask any question of substance. This stuff is extremely important, and they are playing with people's livelihoods, and seem to enjoy the fact that there's "nothing they can do". If their whole purpose was to scam everyone out of their money, they would be the best in the business. I just cannot explain in words how dissatisfied and disappointed I am in this shit show of a company. Do better

I had tio use a out of network Eye Dr. they give you back less than 17% on you pocket pay out, not worth to buy.

This insurance company is basically a scam. If a class action lawyer is seeing this, they are ripe for a class action lawsuit.

Absolutely awful experience. My daughter needed a bridge for teeth missing from a birth defect. Guardian denied the claim stating they don't allow bridges when teeth were extracted prior to the bridge. That's not the case, we submitted proof with xrays that she never had these teeth, denied again no communication. Going on for 5 months. Customer service just keeps saying the same thing over and over again. Claimed denied and lists the reasons on the EOB which don't make any sense. They can't tell you anything, they don't let you see what the dentist uploaded. If my company didn't use them I would never use them again.
