The tech. definitely needs improvement (warm up time, false positive, etc.) But overall no real complaint 4 stars because everything works as well as expected, and the installer/ technician was really, helpful & professional

Unfortunately, our devices' settings are dictated by state regulations, so the fail readings on our devices are outside our control. Please note that the ignition interlock device will register any trace of alcohol from any source containing it - this is how the device effectively ensures an impaired individual is not able to start a vehicle, and how we are able to confidently state the Guardian ignition interlock is fulfilling its purpose. We advise in our training manuals, training videos, and in person when our clients install the device - to be mindful of testing right after eating, drinking, using mouthwash, etc., as doing this can potentially register a fail and will require the device to be reset. At first it cleared my service days from 58 to -1. I called the mechanic, bring it in he said. When installed he told me I had 2 minutes to restart the truck after shutdown. Not true, that was why it said I tried to by pass the system. So needless to say he serviced it and told me not to restart it after shutdown. He stated that's why everyone is having trouble with this. Haven't had a problem since. I would recommend it in fact I have already. Thanks.
