Hello. The plugin is good and stable. We use it in three languages. It has some issues with bold text and spacing within paragraphs, but they are easy to fix. The technical support is excellent.

GTranslate is easy to implement and maintain, the translation control is rather intuitive and support (in case there are any aissues) is very responsive - most issues we had were solved within minutes. The downside is that you have relatively low control over your translations - you can change them however you want, but it seems like sometimes the translations refresh and it's back to square one of going through each text on each page and reviewing all of the translated content. The tool is not as trustworthy in the long run as we expected. GTranslate is great if you want to make your website accessible for visitors from any country, but some languages may have issues. I'm not sure whether it's better than browser-integrated translators, but there's definitely a psychological factor - when foreigners see language controls on your page, it helps them understand that the business is not only aimed at locals. Even if there are occasional mistakes in the translations.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this plugin, including the paid version that is supposed to translate URLs and provide better SEO functionality. The translations were consistently very poor and often sounded unnatural or simply incorrect. Much worse, however, was the impact on SEO. Similar to what Thomas Wachsmuth described in his review from July 16, 2025, my websites' SEO performance declined dramatically after using the plugin. I tested it on two different websites, and in both cases things went downhill afterwards. Rankings, indexing and overall organic visibility were negatively affected. I specifically paid for the premium version because I expected features such as translated URLs to improve the multilingual SEO setup, but my experience was exactly the opposite. After what happened with both websites, I personally cannot recommend this plugin, especially if organic search traffic and SEO are important to your business.
