Google translation is not ready yet
The tech support answered fast, but the underlying quality of the translations were bad. In a title like “US Strikes Iran,” strike was translated in Spanish as “huelga”, that is labor or union-sponsored strikes. My main problem was like 10,000 millions on Portuguese, it’d translate with words millions twice, in long article. President Keiko Fujimori, a female president, was later referred as “el presidente” (a guy). That was clear in the beginning though, but GTranslate would not keep context for long. I had to write and rewrite so the context was clear: “US bombs Iran” instead of “US Strikes Iran”. With so many rewritings in translatable friendly. It was not an automatic translation anymore. I tried to cut a shortcut with automatic translations, and even though GT got tools to correct mistranslations, sometimes those “tools” would introduce new problems (for example, upper cases after a word or term you asked not to translate). I paid one year in advance, but I could only use it for a few months. The worst thing was to retranslate using other WP translators. That was the real pain. CMC Chomcho.com
