Plant arrived with leaves and blooms wilted and they fell off after three days. Dead on arrival
Response from GrowJoyMar 29, 2022
Hello Tess, I am truly sorry to hear that your plant arrived with leaves and blooms that were wilted. The blooms should have been trimmed prior to shipping, they do not hold in shipping. We do guarantee our plants to arrive in great shape, we request to be notified within 24 hours of delivery for any issues or concerns so we can be of further assistance. I responded to your ticket created yesterday, we look forward to working with you to get this resolved. Sincerely, Ashley Reece.

On May 20,2021, I ordered 7 Giant Belgium Pink Tomato plants from there website. Growjoy charge me $43.75, I never received the plant because of a crop failure. I have sent them several emails trying to get my money with no response and no money. This Place is a rip off. Dave

Far & Away the Worst Internet Company I have Ever Dealt With
Far and away the worst internet company I have ever dealt with. They are both dishonest and incompetent.
They ship late and then send you the wrong plant, and/or the plant you ordered is suddenly out of stock. When you repeatedly complain, they give you a credit for another purchase and will only credit your original payment method if you repeatedly harangue them.
Abysmal customer service, including no agents to answer calls, no call backs when you leave a message, and even briefly disconnecting their phone in late spring/early summer when the amount of complaints and inquiries must have overwhelmed them. Also, no answered emails until you threaten to contact Trust Pilot, the BBB, and the state's agricultural board and attorney general.
In short, steer clear of Growjoy.

Dear Clare, I am sorry to see that you have left this negative review for our company. Over two weeks ago you submitted tickets about two issues that you had with your order. In one was a canceled plant that we had refunded incorrectly and to fix this issue we sent you a check in the mail which you have received. The other issue was for an incorrect plant sent to you, we told you to keep the plant and we also sent you a refund check in the mail which you have received. Since this was all taken care of over two weeks ago. Is there something else that we are unaware of that was unresolved? If so, please let us know here or submit a ticket to our help desk and we will get it taken care of. Sincerely, Ashley Reece.

Very dissatisfied with every aspect of my purchase
Ordered this spring and my plants arrived very late. Both petunias I ordered arrived dead. Bogonovilla arrived in poor condition and died shortly after. My lofos was healthy but due to slow start just now started to bloom and it is lovely, unfortunately it's freeze time in North Dakota. I sent 2 emails with no replies. Last time I order from Grow joy. I basically wasted $50. I could have bought a beautiful lofus at the local greenhouse in May and enjoyed it all summer long . Ill buy local from now on.

Hello Priscilla, I cannot apologize enough for the lack of communication from us and that your plants arrived in poor condition. This year has been unlike any other and we have had many obstacles thrown our way. This is no excuse for our lack of commutation. I created a ticket in our system for you, so that we can make sure you are taken care of. You should receive an email soon, if that's not the case. Please let me know. Sincerely, Ashley Reece.

Don’t buy plants on the internet from Growjoy
I purchased 7 tomato plants and one garden plant last winter. The plants all were shipped a little over a week past my requested ship date, which was a little problem. The major issue was they were shipped on June 4 and arrived on June 14. The plants were all dried out upon arrival and my best attempts to revive them were essentially unsuccessful. As of today August 31 a few plants just got their first flowers but no tomatoes yet. There’s no way I’ll get anything by the end of the growing season. I never applied for credit on the sellers site which is my bad. I did however write two emails which were never responded to. This was my first attempt to buy plants via the internet and I’ll never do it again - too many unknowns and uncontrollable factors. I’ll used local greenhouses in the future and deal with people who will be there to help and be accountable.

Hello Fred, I am truly sorry for the delay in getting your order shipped out and that it took 10 days in shipment. We want our plants to arrive in good shape, so that they thrive for you. I went to check on your order so I could send you an email, but only have your first name to go off of. Would you be able to provide your order number here or go to our contact us page located on our website, and submit a ticket? I would love to get this taken care of for you! Sincerely, Ashley Reece.

GrowJoy sent 40 evergreen almost dead trees that…
GrowJoy sent 40 evergreen trees that had turned black before arrival. The trees were supposed to arrive in early April based on our zone. They were received on May 5th. I contacted them immediately and it took them 60 days to get back to me. They first claimed they were shipped with too much water. Then said I had not watered them enough even though I have 300 dollar plus water bills. They charged me over 700.00 for dead trees and have done nothing. I turned it in to Pay Pal. They could not respond to me for 60 days but they sure responded to the dispute. They will come on here and apologize. They will send a response stating that COVID was an issue and they will take care of you. but they will do absolutely nothing but steal your money. RJ, I just contacted the FBI and TBI as you suggested. Hopefully, if enough people contact they will investigate their company. I tried and tried to discuss this with the owner. He refused to call me back and offered a refund of 9 trees which doesn't even come close to covering my damages. They act like good wholesome people but have been nothing but crooks with me. Ashley is a liar. I would not deal with her. Her boss Joe seemed reasonable at first, but once she got involved they lost all sense of reality. Please buy somewhere else.

Hello Joe,
I am truly sorry for all the issues you are experiencing with these plants. As we have stated in our correspondence, we are truly sorry that some of your plants arrived in rough shape. The initial pictures that you had sent upon arrival only showed 7 or 8 Thujas arrived in rough shape, the rest looked perfect. We refunded 8 Thujas back to you immediately. Later on, you sent in more pictures of the Thujas that were not looking good after you had been growing them. Unfortunately we do not guarantee how you care for your plants and thus are unable to simple refund. We did however offered you a full refund if you would return all the plants back to us. The plants were not returned so we could not issue a full refund back. We sell many of these plants every year and have NEVER had one issue like this, so we are confident that this is not a “plant” problem but a growing issue.
Sincerely,
Ashley Reece

I'm going to keep posting negative…
I'm going to keep posting negative review for this company until they refund my money.
On June 8, 2021, I placed an order for three vegetable plants. As of today, 8/26/21, I have not received my plants. My last email correspondence with Ashley Reece, Customer Satisfaction Manager, dated 8/5/21 indicated the following: I am truly sorry that you order never got shipped out like promised! I went to refund your order today and you had used Amazon for checkout. We no longer use Amazon or have access to process any refunds. You can dispute the charge through Amazon; however, it takes some time. If you can guarantee us that you will not submit a dispute, we can get a check put in the mail for $32.49 next week. In my reply to Ashley, I stated, mail the check please. Again, as of today, 8/26/21, NOTHING. I am beyond irritated and I don't think this is a legitimate business. There is no customer service. I believe this is a scam business that is taking hard earned money from people who just want to grow gardens for our health and wellbeing. Shame on you GrowJoy. I don't care about or believe any positive feedback that is posted on Trust Pilot as it may be part of the scam.

Bernadette, I am truly sorry that the check did not go out the same week as promised. We stopped using Amazon Pay as a checkout method due to all the issues we were having with them, which is why we are unable to refund via Amazon at this time. I created the check request and have been waiting. You should have received an email yesterday letting you know what the check number was and for 32.49 was put in the mail. You should be receiving it soon. Sincerely, Ashley Reece.
