Aug 17: ordered $193.58 desk pad as a gift for an employee of mine. Original (long!) delivery window passes. Zero proactive notifications from Grovemade. Sept 10: only after I chase them across multiple channels, I'm told materials delayed production and they now expect it to ship around Sept 25. I ask whether anything can ship sooner. Sept 11: they still can't give me an answer beyond “we've raised this with production.” If you want a company to take your money, give you a timeframe, miss it, don't communicate with you, and still can't provide a firm answer after you follow up across multiple channels, by all means - buy Grovemade.

Misleading advertising, long lead time, poor build quality, and stupid prices Edit: did you know the sides of the desk shelf are made out of foam? I sure wish I did. It comes with small stops to hold the metal shelf in place. Those lasted about 10 minutes- they fell off when I started putting the thing together. By the way, when I bought the desk shelf, the website said it was in stock. Immediately after pressing the buy button, it changed it's mind - it was now "in production", with a 6 week wait time. Please don't waste your time with this shit, it's not worth it.

Ordered 2 desks from them. One desk did not work as there was a fault with the control unit ( i swapped them round between desks so knew it was this not anything else or the desk itself). Incredibly slow to respond, asked for a video to prove it didn't work, 4 days to tell me somebody would come back to me etc etc etc. DO NOT BUY GO ELSEWHERE TO SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.

I purchased over $3K worth of items almost 3 months ago. They quoted a ship date of about 6 weeks. When date arrived it didn't ship, and I had heard nothing (status checker on site doesn't work) so I reached out. They responded 4-5 days later with basically no info (no apology just excuses and no timeline). I have followed up 3X in the ensuing 2 weeks and they just don't respond. I finally contested the charge with my CC company, but that takes 60 days to finalize and they haven't responded to that either. I have no idea what their endgame here is. Like if you don't want the biz then give me my $ back, don't make me wait another 60 days for zero reason. So I've wasted 3 months, and I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on another company in case they somehow ship the damn thing. Huge mistake and apparently this is just par for their crappy little course so yeah, stay away.

Can I give less than one star? Horrible. Horrible customer service. I spent almost $550 on 12/3/24 on a walnut desk shelf and a desk tray. Was disappointed to learn, from tracking my order status on their website, that my order would ship between 1/3 and 1/10. That’s over a month after I placed the order! On 1/11, per my order status, my order still had not shipped. I was never contacted by Grovemade. I called and never got anyone who answered, but had to leave a voicemail. No one ever called me back. I finally sent an email and did receive a response. I was told the desk shelf was unavailable. That was the first I had heard that. No one ever bothered to call or email me letting me know that what I ordered was not available. Their website did not indicate the walnut shelf was unavailable. I was not told if or when it would be. Rather they tried to sell me something different. After a couple of emails back and forth, I told them I wanted a refund. That was on 1/16/25. I still have not received my money back. Today is 2/17/25. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company and will probably file a complaint with the better business bureau. So disappointing.

I requested to cancel the order because they hadn’t shipped it after two weeks, and I wasn’t willing to wait any longer. They claimed they finally sent it, but now it’s more than a month, and I still haven’t received anything.

Total junk for the price. The wood was so poorly cut that the slots for the cork were totally off, and the cork was falling apart when I tried slotting it in. The instructions said to screw the shelf divider into the wood but the wood did not come with pre-drilled holes (said not to use screwdriver in instructions) and was too hard to use a screwdriver on.
