I was over charged for a service i didn’t receive and his groom was bad

a lot of matting was left on my puppy. I was not made aware of the situation by the groomer or given options to de-matt. The day after I found the matting and requested a refund or some sort of compensation and I was denied it since it was an independent contractor. My dog was not groomed properly and grommet did nothing to rectify the issue. I had to pay someone else for another grooming.

the groomer completely cut and butchered my dogs ear off!! So terrible I had to take him the hospital! I initially tried to schedule with another groomer and Groomit told me this groomer they assigned me is there best groomer. If this is the best I don't even want to know what the worst is. After cutting my dogs ear off customer service was impossible to get in touch with. I tried texting them they weren't answering. This is the worst service ever the haircut itself was terrible too. beware Groomit will hurt your pets! Update: the horrible customer service reached out to me and threatened me with legal action unless I remove this review. I told them people have a right to know what’s going on and they continue to threaten me. Beware everyone!! Also I specifically told the groomer to please leave my dogs ears long and not to touch them and to leave 1 inch hair on my dog. He came back basically shaved and his ears were short and his left ear 3/4 of the ear was cut off.

GroomIt promises a professional quality grooming service at your home from a trained groomer who leaves your home the way they found it. My experience was the complete opposite of that. Our groomer badly cut my dog’s ear and did not mention it to us, a terrible surprise to find out the next day. Further, the groomer did not clean up, leaving a mess in the bath tub and dog hair all over the kitchen. When I contacted customer support, I found out that GroomIt does not stand behind its service. It offered a $25 credit on my next grooming, which I told them is inadequate, at which point they stopped responding completely. I will never use this service again and would not recommend it to anyone who cares about their pet or home.

I wouldn’t give even one star! Complete fraud. A “professional groomer” came in saying it’s her first time to see a cat like this (British Shorthair), and after chatting with us for an hour and trying to catch my cat with towel, barehanded- things would any UNPROFESSIONAL person do themselves, she left without performing any service. I paid $120 with tax. What for?! No service, and my money wasn’t returned. This crappy thieves are saying that the cat is ungroomable. After trying to get it in a towel?! Seriously?! There’s NO such a word as ungroomable in English. There’s a word such as UNPROFESSIONAL though. I don’t recommend this “service” to anyone! Get your pet groomed for the fraction of what they charge. I wish I never referred to them. The only reason was is that I didn’t want to stress my cat by taking her to the vet An absolute NO. Stay away!

Do not use this service. The grooming was so terrible that strangers on the street who know what my dog usually looks like have commented on how bad he looks. The company has not even responded with an apology. I never write reviews but wanted to spare anyone who thinks of using this service the frustration of paying a lot of money for terrible service.
