Worst all inclusive ever- won’t give us a penny back.
We are currently 7 days into a 10-day stay, so this review is based on consistent, real experience — not a one-off issue. This has been one of the worst all-inclusive holiday we have had, and without doubt the worst £4,000 we have ever spent. While the hotel itself looks beautiful, luxury is about standards and the standards here are extremely poor. From actually asking staff what meat is being served being told they do not know. We are being served MYSTERY MEAT- my partner cannot eat certain meats so we have to know they also noticed they until today listed No allergens around the resort…., cold meat being recycled and reused and reheated throughout other parts of the hotel. The meat is predominantly plastic and processed see photo attached , very luxurious resort but all meat seems to come out of a can? Food and dining have been a major disappointment throughout. Buffet meals are regularly cold, poorly presented, and often inedible. Breakfast and dinner have been so bad that on most days we have been unable to eat them at all. We even raised this directly with the Food & Beverage Manager at 8am on Sunday, highlighting processed and mystery meats with no allergens. cold food (including beans that were reheated and brought back out still cold), and ongoing quality issues — yet this is still happening 7 days into our stay. The only reliable food option has been the gyros from the snack bar, which is limited in hours and not a realistic solution, especially in the evenings. Out of what should have been 10 days of quality dining, we have had just one acceptable meal at the fine dining restaurant. Booking restaurants is difficult. We started trying to book from day two and still struggled. We were even told the only way to secure a reservation was to cancel a pre-booked excursion we had already paid for — which we were forced to do. Many other guests have experienced the same issue. Despite being told restaurants were fully booked, we regularly saw empty tables, which points to poor management rather than demand. When we did dine at the Italian restaurant, the food was still poor — cold, overcooked, and lacking basic quality. Service across the resort is equally disappointing. Around the pool and beach bar, you can wait 20–25 minutes just to get a drink. In 7 days, we have only been approached three times. On two occasions, drinks we ordered never arrived. There is also no drink service on the beach, which is unacceptable for a hotel marketed as a luxury beach resort. The drinks themselves are also extremely poor. Cocktails are weak, overly sugary, and clearly contain minimal alcohol. We are not expecting excessive alcohol, but we do expect drinks to be made to a decent drinkable standard. We have taken photos showing the visible difference in beer colour, which suggests it is being watered down. On multiple occasions, our room was not properly cleaned, and rubbish was left for two consecutive days. The bed is uncomfortable, and only one pillow per person is provided, which is not acceptable for this standard of hotel. The towel situation is another clear example of poor management. On one day, we were left without towels at the beach for around 4 hours. We checked multiple stations, returned to our room, and even found spare towels had been removed. A manager admitted the hotel cannot keep up with towel demand, which highlights a fundamental operational failure. We have realised it’s not the staffs fault it’s the senior ground level management and even though we reported all this , they just thanked us for our feedback. We also read a book about the hotel and what they pride itself on in reception and the origins of the hotel. “In Greece we say filoxenia, and its philosophy lies in the notion that hospitality is not just a transaction but a feeling, and details are not just details they are everything” I imagine the owners and their grandchildren would be very upset to read about how the details are what ultimately let all the guests down.
