I called before hand to ask if they could do curtain bangs and she assured me they are all professionals. I went in and showed multiple pictures. I didn’t want straight across I wanted wispy curtain bangs I could style. I left with very short very choppy straight across bangs. I am a mom of 2 who doesn’t get to do things like this very often and I feel like your 10$ really is 10$. I can’t even style them

worst haircut i ever had. 2 corrections. 4 stylists. Asked blunt cut bob angled from nape to jawline. Got no angle. Chopped back hair.

I have hair loss ( which means I lose hair from stress). I told her where it is but yet still messed it up so she said that there was no payment required but wanted me to give them a huge tip after ruining my hair. That made me more mad. Even if they gave me 100 dollars, I would still be upset.

Every time I go to Great Clips in Johnson City NY I’m dissatisfied with my haircut. Prices are great but they cut my hair very shot even though I tell them not to. Just a trim and by the time they’re done I have a 1” haircut. If I could afford another I’d be there in a minute.

I went to the Lockport , Illinois location , as I usually do , I told the hairdresser I just wanted a shoulder length layered cut . She chopped my beautiful hair to my mid neck & I had to leave off my glasses so I didn’t notice what she did til the end . It’s ugly & too short ! Il never return there again !

My husband has been a customer of the Lithia location for years. His office is directly across from the salon, so it has always been very convenient for him. There have been several haircuts over the years that were not particularly good, but he has always let it go because of that convenience. Yesterday he had some time between two meetings and decided to get a haircut. As soon as he was done, he hurried back to his office because he had a video call. Once he saw himself on camera, he was extremely embarrassed to discover that one of his sideburns had been shaved down to the skin, completely disconnecting it from his beard. Only one. The other side was perfectly connected. Since he was going to be in meetings for several hours, he asked me to call the salon for him. During my first call with the hair stylist I was told that my husband had asked to have his sideburns disconnected from his beard. I pointed out that only one side had been disconnected. There was really no answer to that. The stylist offered to fix it, but the sideburn had already been shaved down to the skin. Since that location could not issue a refund, I was given the number of another location where I could speak with a manager. The manager suggested that they could fix it with a tapered cut. I explained that you cannot create a proper taper where there is essentially a bare gap because you need at least some hair to create a gradual transition. She acknowledged that I was right. At that point, after the original mistake, we were not comfortable having someone remove even more hair in an attempt to fix it, so I asked for a refund. I was told that because they had offered to fix the haircut, they could not issue a refund and that Great Clips does not allow refunds. If that is company policy, I accepted it and did not argue further. What bothered me much more was what happened next. The manager told me that hair grows back quickly. I responded that this was obviously not the state of mind with which my husband had gone in for a haircut. He was not getting a haircut hoping his hair would grow back. He needed to look sharp at that moment, particularly because he was about to be on a work video call. It was only after I explained it this way that her tone changed and she apologized. I appreciated the apology, but I was disappointed that it took that much explanation for the situation to be taken seriously. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. My husband has overlooked several disappointing haircuts at this location over the years. This time, however, the mistake was significant, and the way it was handled made it much worse. First we were told that he had requested something that clearly did not make sense since only one side was disconnected. Then we were offered a solution that the manager herself acknowledged could not properly recreate the missing transition. Finally, the initial response to his embarrassment was that his hair would grow back. I will be contacting Great Clips corporate because I believe both the refund policy and the handling of this situation deserve attention. My husband's office is directly across from this location and employs many professionals who use this salon because of its convenience. Several of them noticed the haircut was bad and commented. Not a great advertisement for the location. After years as a customer, what damaged the relationship was not simply a bad haircut, as it happened before. It was how the mistake was handled.
