The guy that cut my hair was nice but he didn’t know how to deal with curly hair, he left it very puffy by the end of the cut and all I asked was for my dead ends to be cut off but now my hair is a bob. and up to my head and I hate it it is too SHORT!! I also went there another time and they cut off my bangs and I cried for A WEEK!!! they cut hair way to short every time I go if you don’t want it short then don’t go but overall the service wasn’t bad but not special.

Today was my first-time in a Great Clips and it wasn't great. Bertha could use a lesson in basic customer service. For starters, she wasn't very friendly and she never explained my options. She just kept asking me what "clipper number" I wanted her to use. I'm 59 years old and have never had a barber ask (or tell) me about clipper size. It seemed to annoy her that I didn't know how to answer this; but maybe if she had just asked me a few basic styling questions, she would've figured out the clipper thing on her own. Then, in less than 10 minutes, she announced that I was done. There was no holding a mirror so I could see the back of my head, and no "how does it look?" or "are you satisfied?". Just "your done". I get that we all have our bad days, but at least try to show a little enthusiasm in front of a new customer. I still gave her a decent tip but didn't hear a thank you, so maybe she expected more. So did I Bertha. So did I

I went for a haircut today, I have been there before but it has been quite some time. the woman at the register remembers me from before, hence knows or remembers the cut I get. she tells this other person that I'm theirs. I can just tell this person is new & probably isn't trained on my haircut which is a bob. This person sprays my hair down with water while asking another girl how to cut my hair,as I'm thinking I should be either saying forget the haircut or ask for someone who knows what they are doing. I say nothing while my hair is being cut just straight all the way around. This person then asks another stlyist to check their work. The stylist said it was all straight with no angle & one side was longer then the other. She continued to cut my hair all over again. My whole point of why even give this person myself knowing the cut I get with precise cuts, why waste both of our time & if this person doesn't know what they are doing why are they there? I paid the usual amount & left the person who originally made the mistakes a tip. I looked at my phone I was there for over an hour ! I was nice throughout the entire time & not even an apology from either person. The next person that sits in their chair may not be as nice as I was or be as patient, all haircuts require special cuts or angles , if a person can't produce what is being offered they should not be working there.

I went to great clips to have my hair washed, blowed dried, flat iron and my bangs trimmed, which was no more than a couple of snips. The results were ok but I almost died when she told me the bill was 45.00 dollars….the receipt said shampoo..$5.00 long style $40.00. It was my fault that I didn’t ask what the total would be before I had the work done but in my wildest dreams I would of never thought to be charged $45.00. My hair is just below my shoulders. I’ll never go back…I suggest you ask what the total would be before you have your hair done.

I decided that I needed my hair cut today! And my regular hair stylist had no openings, so I called Great Clips in Buford,Ga. to ask the price of a seniors haircut and told it would be $15 and that yes they take walk-ins. No mention whatsoever about “checking in” online. Upon arrival at salon a stylist checked me in at the reception desk using name and phone number. The first flag went up when it took 5 or 6 tries to get that right. Was told the wait would be about an hour as there were other patrons ahead of me. Actually people were coming in that had already “checked in”. So people who came in after me were actually getting serviced before me. More than an hour later, I was called up by a stylist and I requested a wash, conditioner, cut and blow dry. At that point I was told “we don’t do styling “aka blow dry and style. I was flabbergasted and questioned this as I’ve never been to a salon that doesn’t blow dry hair. Another stylist said” it costs $25”. That’s on top of $15 cut, $6 wash $10 conditioner. So $65 plus a tip for a chain hair salon who basically only basically cut hair. I now had the option to get a dry haircut or leave. A dry haircut was given by the very sweet stylist. I think the check in by phone doesn’t work too well considering everyone is in queue upon arrival and those who didn’t precheck wait a very long time. Also since Covid is still raging, no safety measures in force. No masks, no sanitizing, no distancing; quite shocking. Most businesses have their employees wear masks but not here. Will not be using this hair salon again. Great clips was not great!!!

Went to South Lyon Great clips as a walk in , they generally expect you to use the appointment app, they told me 47 minute wait with one actual person ahead of me so I went to Headmasters 1/2 mile down the street and got in immediately with again only one person ahead of me, I suspect covid 19 corporate protocol to minimize traffic, well they minimized their future business as I'm not going back, Headmasters earned it by actually normalizing their business.
