Definite toxic smell! I wish that I'd done a more thorough check of reviews before buying a dresser. I think many people are not sensitive to it. These are solid wood in the sense that not particleboard...but it is glued together solid wood and the glues are nasty. Also, the side panels are a glued on veneer on solid wood slabs...not a solid piece of wood. Functional but now going in a spare room after some time airing out in garage.

I ordered a bedroom set including the shaker style 6 drawer dresser. Shame on me for not really looking at the height dimensions of the dresser, but I was totally mislead by the photos on the website that make it look like it's really about hip-level height, like a dresser you could put a mirror on. The photos have pictures low down to the dresser, making it look taller, but who would place a wall picture at about hip-level?! I started putting it together and realized it was very short. I had to return the entire set as I probably wouldn't find something to match the more unique finish colors. So then I lost the 20% stocking fee and I have to resell the dresser myself just because I opened it. Shame on me for not checking but very frustrating that the photos were not representative. Other people seem to like them, but it seems more like for a young child's dresser size. Or a gnome. Instructions for assembly also weren't that clear. Also, customer service is basically by email with no one to call so, while they are responsive, it's a half day to a day for each communication. I would give one star but the product does seem to provide an affordable all-wood product. Just measure out how it will look in your room and don't rely on the photos!

Just finished a 3-piece bedroom set (2 dresser and a nightstand) and have mixed reviews and warnings to anyone thats thinking of buying this furniture. First the good, very impressed with the material, I did not want to spend a ton on a bedroom set, but did not want particle board. Being a fairly knowledgeable and experienced woodworker, I was surprised that in the instructions there wasn't any mention of using wood glue. If you want to have a sturdy piece of furniture you need to use glue. Next they say use a screwdriver and not a drill. Again if you want a sturdy piece of furniture .... Next the drawer slides. The ones included only allow the drawer to open halfway. I am spending my own money to install longer ones. Its decent furniture when it is done, its just the company needs to review this.
