But I mean their live chat customer support service was amazing, they were really helpful and responsive and like I actually felt like there was support from a real actual human staff member while interacting with an online service, which is seldom a user's experience. Final transcript was 20 pages from 1 hour 15mins footage, first 25mins of text was like perfect, 99% accuracy. big chunk in the middle had a higher number of issues maybe like 90% accuracy which was a little disappointing since I paid extra for verbatim, but they give you a word doc so it's not hard to fix up bits where say my interview subject had said "I was the bottom run of the popular group at high school" and the transcript read "I was the one running the popular group at high school" and it was turned around in 8 hours so there was bound to be some error, just be familiar with your content and check for that, there were a lot of these in the middle of my text, this might have been due to the Australian accent of the interview subjects, though I thought it was an Aussie site. Anyway, even though there were issues I'd totally use this service again and recommend it, their time for turn around and cost per minute and their support service were all just ace.

I have worked for GoTranscript for the last five months. Initially, it wasn't easy for me, as I found myself spending too much time and sleepless nights, only to have an Editor give me a low rating. However, with more experience and communication with the Administration, I was able to raise my complaints. Amazingly, the response was good enough to keep me going. To be honest, I got so discouraged to a point that I wanted to opt out. Ever since, I have seen a lot of changes, that the Transcriber can voice his/her complaint, recommend or suggest ways for improvement and actually have them implemented. Recently, the automatic rating suggestion with the help of the Editor is a consolation that the rating is fair and free. I am able to download the You Tube transcription in some and generally read it through to offer the correct version. A request I would like to make, Peter, please review (maybe using the rating suggestion tool), File ID 31330, which shook my rating almost to rock bottom and which to date I feel was not rightly rated. I raised a complaint about this and I'm happy to say that contributed to today's improved services. So far, so good. GoTranscript is the way to go! I recommend it to all.
