MUST READ - Seriously call Jared at Go Real Europe
Seriously, if you are looking for a hassle free, set & forget holiday, call Jared at Go Real Europe. I have never taken time to write a review, I have read a few, but I feel compelled to provide feedback, our family holiday was awesome. So easy to start the process via the web site & then fine tune. I thought it was a scam or gimmick to begin with but as we went along it just felt right & stress free. The accommodation locations are fantastic, the guided tours & transfers are easy & at your pace. We actually formed such a great relation ship that we socialized with the tour guides & Jared our travel agent. The guidance they provide is so well researched, they are there with you every step of the way, either at arms length or by your side when needed. Just cannot speak highly enough!

I am giving a 5 star review even though…
I am giving a 5 star review even though our airport pickup didn't happen. We are two separate parties arriving in Prague an hour apart. Something about the driver got into a car accident and no one showed up to pick the first party up. You would think after the failure to pick up the 1st party, they would've sent someone else for us but no. We ended up taking a cab after we called the travel company to find out what's going on. Not only did they reimburse us for the cab rides, they reimbursed us for the money we paid as part of the package for this transportation cost.
Since our travel started so poorly I was concerned. But everything else after the initial experience was great. I could not have asked for better hotel locations, tour guides, details they provided on the full itinerary of suggested things to do and how to get around was just great. Everyone we dealt with were professional and knowledgeable. The taste of Vienna was amazing. it was much better than we expected. All of the tours we did were great. Service was awesome. Highly recommend them.

Hi Heather, thanks very much for the review! Our apologies once more for the missed airport pickups, but I really appreciate that you gave us a chance to make up for it. I am really glad to hear that the rest of the trip went so well. Thanks again for traveling with us and I hope we'll be able to help you with another trip someday!

First rate
First rate. Even with a couple of last minute changes and fearing missed connections, they were right there with answers by text, email and phone. Directions they provided were great and advice about activities were spot on. I hope they expand their territory to include other spots we have interest in. Would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Great service!
Great service!
The staff is super helpful. Myles provided me with very good advice and insights for my trip.
Having the hotels booked and incredibly well located, the train tickets and the public transportation tickets in advance, made my trip super easy and relaxing. No need to worry about anything.
I took a private tour in Prague; very informative. It was very enjoyable and the lady was very helpful. She gave me great insights.
I decided to do the free waliking tours in the other cities I visited, and I enjoyed those very much as well.
The details provided in the pdf are amazing, however 100 pages to carry with me was not a good idea. I downloaded the pdf in my cell phone, and I checked it sometimes. I Think a map that can be dowloaded to check offline, with coments and instructions would very much convenient to use.
I definitively recomed go real europe!

Great trip with Go Real Europe!
On our last trip to Europe we did our own arrangements for Airbnb lodgings and transportation. There was some drama associated with both, so we thought for our next trip to Prague/Vienna/Budapest we’d try leaving it all in the hands of a professional.
But traditional tours all seemed too constraining. We loathe the idea of being herded around in a crowd of Americans and never having much time in any given location. We thought that Go Real Europe was an effective compromise, and that proved to be very much the case.
The list of cities that GRE serves inspired us to add Český Krumlov and Salzburg as almost impulse buys. We probably wouldn’t have done that if we had been responsible for figuring out the transportation ourselves. GRE guaranteed that every move was absolutely painless. They gave us an envelope of public transit tickets for every city, every train booking was first rate, and every transfer was easy and often another source of a great conversation with a local. As it turned out, the plan of staying only one or two nights in a city, long considered a rookie traveler move, did not seem rushed or ill-advised at all.
Every hotel was thoughtfully located. In Prague, we stayed in a calm district across the Charles Bridge from the tourist chaos of the Old Square. Conversely, we would walk out the door at night in Budapest and be surrounded by a vibrant nightlife that seemed to be more local than tourist based. Yet there was no sleep-disturbing noise inside of the hotel.
I shudder every time I see a tour group following a guide holding up an umbrella and talking to them through ear buds. GRE provided us with our own personal guide, and it was absolutely one of the best benefits of going through GRE. Each guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and it always felt like we were spending a couple of hours with a new friend in each city. They were able to share personal anecdotes in addition to having significant knowledge of local history.
In addition, we ended up with a 140 page PDF comprised mostly of proposed individual excursions, some out of the city. They were so highly personalized that they literally start on the doorstep of your hotel and take you in considerable detail (walk-300-yards-and turn-left-at-the-yellow-building) to your destination and back.
We were surprised to learn that the maps they provided were not generic travel maps, but rather ones that GRE had created, loaded with their own recommendations. They proved to be a very valuable resource.
We did have a few difficulties with our trip, by no fault of GRE. There was a heat wave that was oppressive at the beginning and end of our trip. We live in Florida, so we are no stranger to hot weather, but here we have air conditioning everywhere, from home to car to work or store, and water fountains. AC is somewhat rare (the Prague hotel didn’t have it) and usually of low power in Europe.
The heat was part of the reason that we failed to last through the opera that we attended in Prague. In general, I would recommend avoiding any event that requires bringing more formal clothes. We travel very light with just one carry-on, and we could have used the space to better advantage. In a heat wave, a coat and tie is very problematic.
But going through GRE is a very pleasurable and rational way to see Europe. You are on your own in many ways, happily so, but people appear when appropriate to enhance your journey. The fact that GRE is expanding their covered cities to include Heidelberg, Florence, Cinque Terra, Zurich, Amsterdam, Brussels, etc., is a testament to their successful vision and diligence. I very much recommend that you consider them as your travel planner.

Excellent experience
This is my 2nd time utlizing the talent and knowledge of GoRealEurope and I just can't say enough regarding the excellence of service I received on both trips. Both my trips were multi-country and the transition from place to place was seemless! The car services, train tickets, buses all were coordinated perfectly. The guides and driver's we had were fabulous.
We had to make a medical emergency landing on our flight to Germany which caused some glitches on missed flights. One email to GRE was responded to immediately regarding notifying our car pick up service and hotel of our delay. Excellent is the review I give. Andrew Barton once again planned us perfect centrally located hotels with awesome staff and accomodations. Thank you, thank you!!

Highly, highly recommend!!
Without a doubt, we would highly recommend Go Real Europe to anyone looking to have a fabulous trip to Europe. We came across GRE while searching online for information about travelling to Vienna to visit our daughter who is doing a fall university exchange there. We knew we wanted to visit other cities and GRE's suggested trip to Berlin/Prague/Vienna/Budapest fit the bill. After quickly and easily getting connected to our travel consultant, Myles, we worked with him to tailor the trip to our needs. This included really honing in on the types of hotels we wanted to stay in and some additional requests to include food tours in two of the four cities. Also, Myles was amazing in arranging, on short notice mid-trip, for our daughter to accompany us on the Budapest leg of our trip.
What really stands out about GRE is their attention to every last detail so that you can focus on enjoying your trip and not having to think about all of the logistics. The detailed itineraries, train tickets, public transit tickets/passes including instructions on how to use the transit systems in the different cities, hotels located in fantastic and central locations, private transit where that made sense, and more. We moved between cities and around cities with such ease, it was painless. GRE also selected amazing private guides who not only taught us so much about each of the cities and their rich histories but also were tasked with orienting us to each city and how to use the public transit systems; we had some of the best guides we've ever had.
We've used travel consulting firms before but GRE took it to another level and we will definitely be using them again!
