Our first time using Go Real Europe was very positive and we would recommend them to others. The tour booklet provided us prior to departure was very helpful. And the ground transportation was flawless. We typically do not use a service provider like Go Real Europe and book everything ourselves so this was a departure for us. But it became very useful to us when our train was delayed due to obstruction of the track. I made 1 simple call to Go Real Europe to alert them to our delay and they handled everything for us - including private shuttle to hotel and notification to hotel of our delay. it was a great piece of mind.

Thailand and Cambodia visit in Jan. 2019
Our guides for all our tours had good knowledges about the subject we visited. The overall experiences were very good. one thing should improve is communication. We did not get confirmation about our activity the day before, our street food tour we had been waited for our guide about one hour without any information regarding the delay or cancellation. Finally, we called to resolved this issue.
The Kirirom national park is not worth 4 hours driving time to see it. Kulen National park had better value than Kirirom national park. however, it is not that special to me. The tours we like the most are ChiangMai and emerald pool/hot spring tour. All pick up and drop off were smooth and no problem

Touring Slovenia
The planned tour of Slovenia with a personal side trip to my grandparents birthplace was excellent. We had excellent guides. Your added info of the areas provided a broader scope of what to expect with our visit of this beautiful country. Everyone we met was extremely pleasant and helpful. Your directions were almost perfect but for one location of the bus stop to board the number 8 bus in Ljubljana. The error was easily discovered from the excellent info displayed on the wrong stop and the correct stop was not far from it. I will use your service again when I plan to return to Europe in a couple years.

The entire experience that we had when…
The entire experience that we had when using Go Real Travel for our travel around Croatia and Slovenia was good!! All the staff that we corresponded with via email were not only a delight to talk to but were super helpful, helping us in every step of the holiday be it queries on the places we were going to or purchasing of tickets and other logistical issues.
Although the team at Go Real Europe were always ever ready to help, we still did face some hiccups along the way but they were minor. For example in the itinerary provided there were some minor confusions found in the instructions to the purchasing of the Plitvice Lake tickets. We quickly learn from the hotel that we were staying that it did not matter which entrance tickets we bought because we could entire from any, but it is still important to purchase them before hand online.
My family and I also feel that in certain points of the itinerary could use a little reshuffling as we found ourselves, at times, lost with what to do. For example, when we were in Slovenia for a 4 day stop over, we felt like it was too long as Slovenia was a small place and had only a few sights to visit. Furthermore, we found out that when we arrived there on the 15th of August it was a public holiday in Slovenia and everything was closed, including museums and various tourist attractions.
Overall, Go Real Travel is still a good option when you want a free and easy travelling style but with a certain structure and guidance. They are definitely worth giving a try and we would definitely use them again especially for going to places in which we have no prior knowledge on!!
ps: do not let the hiccups deter you, they are just for feedback to the people at Go Real Travel so that they can improve their already excellent itinerary and help other travels have an even better time in Croatia and Slovenia

Less than Ideal...2 Star Review UPDATED to 4 Star Review
Our experience was less than ideal. We had two parties coming in from separate locations and the driver was not told that there were people incoming from 2 different flights (arriving same time) at the airport, so he was a bit angry the entire ride to the hotel - starting our trip out with a bad taste. I will say the majority of the trip went well, hotel accommodations were okay for the most part (we requested 4 star minimum), guides were great and helpful. It seemed as each city the hotels got worse and worse though. On our last leg of the trip, we were put into a 2 star hotel, everything from the location to the rooms and the staff was completely unacceptable. I tried contacting our agent beforehand after reading some bad reviews and was told there would be an exorbitant fee to change hotels since they partner with only specific hotels. We were only there 2 nights so we decided to suck it up. The room was tiny and I mean so tiny that the lamp was on the floor because a table wouldn’t fit. Bed was hard and uncomfortable and room was dirty. On the day of checkout, the hotel employee was arguing with me about payment (again, the travel agency had already paid), he was rude and when I contacted the agent we worked with several times to discuss this incident and lack of background checking the hotels before sending people to stay there (hotel was a recent addition to their roster), the response was they contacted the hotel and received the same rude behavior and have since removed that hotel from their roster. I contacted the agent again and requested an explanation as to why there was not a better vetting process before sending customers/clients there. I also expected some kind of apology, reach out from management or even partial reimbursement. Nothing. Very disappointed that we had to be the “trial” to test out a horrible hotel that they no longer even deem acceptable. For that, we will not use their services again and cannot recommend them.
UPDATE: In response to my 2-star review, within several days, I was contacted by the CEO. He was very apologetic to what happened and in turn both parties were partially reimbursed for our stay at the inferior hotel (which was our major gripe). While it doesn't make up for the lack of being put into such a terrible hotel, especially when we paid an upfront premium to be placed into 4+ star hotels, I appreciate his efforts in reaching out and attempting to rectify the situation as much as he could in the aftermath. We had several emails back and forth and I appreciated him personally reaching out. I would also like to add that our travel agent, Brendan was great and provided many specific suggestions that we asked for (running paths, vegan restaurants, etc), I was just a little disappointed in how our complaints were handled until I finally wrote a review. Therefore, I am jumping my review up to a 4-star.
Response from Go Real TravelAug 8, 2019
Hello Erin, thank you for your feedback and I am very sorry that your trip did not live up to expectations. I understand that there were 3 main problems: 1) your initial transfer driver was unfriendly, 2) you were placed in a substandard hotel in the last city of the trip, and 3) you informed us of the problem and it was not appropriately handled or escalated. With regards to #1, we will definitely follow up on this one as it is simply inexcusable. Regardless of any miscommunication regarding the flight times, you should have been provided with courteous service. That is, after all, one of the primary reasons to hire a private driver. Our apologies that you had to experience this. With regards to #2, it sounds like we have removed this hotel, however I certainly understand that this is no consolation to you since it was too late for your trip. Again, let me extend our apologies. With respect to #3, as the CEO of Go Real Travel I would like to reach out to you to see if we can make up for these mistakes beyond simply apologizing. Unfortunately, since you have used an alias, we are unable to determine which travel group you were in. Could you please send me an email at [email protected] and I will follow up personally. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you, David

Excellent travel arrangements…
Excellent travel arrangements throughout my 18 days visiting Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Cesky, Austria, Germany. Thank you very much indeed, Go Real Europe! Hotel reservations, transportation arrangements have been most satisfactory.
I do hope the following comments would help:
1. The railway from Hungary to Croatia was a nightmare! We got reserved seat tickets on train car No.423. There was no 423! The railway company just did not bring in car 423, And I was told it is Hungarian style and I had to find seats wherever available. Just imagine how desperate one would be carrying heavy baggage. Worst still, there was practically zero air conditioning and the abin was like a furnace. If possible, please do not make such arrangement for your future patrons or forewarn them of such situation in advance.
The other railway arrangements were much better.
2. All the hotels booked were satisfactory except:
a. The one in Berlin. It was a really nice hotel. Unfortunately it has no lift or elevator, Just imagine 3 old people carrying heavy baggage had to climb some 20 stair steps without any hotel assistance. IT IS A NICE HOTEL but not suitable for old aged people.
b. Ramada Hotel in Frankfurt does not deserve 4 stars! It has only one lift to reach half of the hotel floors including mine, It was out of order for 12 hours!
All in all, I am very pleased with Go Real Europe and would like t thank my agent Justin especially for all the helps he rendered me.
Regards

3 weeks in Europe
We spent a month in Europe, 17 days with Go Real, and 7 on our own. The difference in travel experience was notable.
Go Real made our transportation within & between cities so seamless that we felt positively spoiled! The drivers were all on time and lovely. The instructions for navigating the train stations and tickets were clear and extremely helpful (OK, except the Prague station, which probably just needs a private guide to figure out).
We chose to travel at a 3-star(ish) level, and gave GoReal the additional challenge of finding 3-person rooms, which are NOT at all common in Europe. On average, I would say they met the challenge extremely well. Munich was a lovely hotel, if a little far out of town centre for my preferences; Budapest and Vienna were perfectly located and above 3-star (Vienna was solid, wonderful 4); and Prague was ...well... my least favourite but still a 2.5/low 3 star.
We were surprised to find that every single guided tour GoReal arranged for us was private. Just us and a guide. This had 2 additional benefits beyond what one would expect: 1) the tour could be somewhat customized (and once completely changed) to suit our tastes/desires; and 2) we got to really have conversations with our local guides, rather than just stand around listening to canned speeches. So much more personal, informative, and interesting! Knowing this, my next trip with them will include a few more guided experiences.
All in all, the experience was truly wonderful, and I would absolutely use GoReal again. I only docked them that final star because 1) the website interface is still very primitive, and doesn't allow you to experiment much with cities and dates on your own; 2) the hard-sell from sales staff is a bit pushy until you commit your deposit; 3) they only price in US dollars, which can be very hard on you if you are paying in another currency & the exchange rate shifts. I hope as they grow and become established in more places (which they should, because they are awesome!), they iron out these little glitches.
