I love the whole experience. It was very easy speaking with the breeder. However, there are a lot of hidden fees from start to finish that you can't opt out of. Basically, my dog went from a $2,500 dog to $3,000. And the deposit was not returnable so there's no going back. Even the deposit was more than $250. I would rather have just dealt with the breeder.

For the most part the platform is great! My issue is with the fees associated with both buyers and my self. I don't mind to pay to use the service however I do not believe it should be this high!

I worked with two breeders each had a puppy of interest. The first breeder was difficult to work with. She had forms to fill out and in the end stated not sure we are a good fit. The next breeder was much more accommodating, friendly, and educational. Webwere excellent owners of two other dogs and it felt wonderful to be trusted and appreciated by the second breeder. We love our new poppy.

It was nice to find a dog locally. I did not like the extra fees, although they are stated with each payment. Also, the Owner has the ability to change the amount any time after the amount is agreed upon. I did not like that I could not see the puppy or the parents to be able to get the dog.

Our breeder knows what she is doing and responded promptly. I would recommend Good Dog solely due to the breeder Deidre at Arena Valley Acres. Deidre' pups are beautiful and we are in love!

Everything was incredible once I had my account set up. I had three puppies sold before whelping and the rest (5) were placed in great homes in a week and a half through GoodDog. BUT, setting up my account was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done. After setting up my account: called once and someone answered. While I was setting it up? I called over 100 times, left multiple messages and no one got back to me. I’ll spare the boring details of my email interactions which were boilerplate and either a new employee or AI.

On the positive side, our puppy's breeder was helpful in making his transition successful from their kennel to our home. Communications between us were timely and informational. The puppy's leg was broken and casted by the breeder's vet before we received him which has presented unique care challenges. On the negative side, the breeder's vet only provided medical records after repeated requests and X-RAYS are still forthcoming.

GoodDog is the best way to find your dog. Simply open it, put in the breed you want, and you will see breeder after breeder listed with that breed and pics of the pups they have an available. And how far they are from you starting waiting the closest to the furthest away. However, I found the website and communications frustrating.
